Sri Ananpur Sahib, located in the the foothills of Himalayas in Punjab's Rupnagar district, was always one of the holiest towns of the Sikh world.

Now it has added to its allure with the installation of World's tallest Khanda in the town's famous Panch Pyaare Park.

The Khanda placed on a 81 feet tall pedestal is also the world's heaviest version of the Sikh symbol which consists of a double edged sword and a circular ring encompassed within two curved swords (Kripans).

The symbol forms the crux of Sikh doctrine which relies heavily on both taking care of the needy as well as protecting them from any harm.
