Born as Harbhajan Singh Puri he became widely known by his nickname 'Yogi Bhajan'. Garnering great fandom as well as critical attention Yogi Bhajan is an undeniable figure in the development of Sikhi, as well as Kundalini Yoga, in the 20th and going into the 21st century.

He passed away on October 6th 2004. 14 years later, to the day, historian and author Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa completed his tremendous labor of love and decades long project of creating the most comprehensive biography of Yogi bhajan in the form of a nearly 1,000 page ebook:

Messenger from the Guru's House
The Life and Legacy of Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib
Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji Panth Rattan aka "Yogi Bhajan"

The ebook, which features the original art of Siri Kartar Kaur Khalsa (AKA 'Lady Gatka'), is freely accessable to all here.

Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa, with his taste for story telling, chronologically carries the reader through the compelling and eventful life of his spiritual teacher. For example when the young Harbhajan fell ill it was a miracle of Guru Ram Das that allowed him to survive. Yogi Bhajan is known for his deep love of Guru Ram Das, in his own words, "I would like to share with you today someone I love the most, someone I know the most and someone I don't have the capacity to love and someone I don't have the capacity to know at all. That is the miracle man, the image of Guru Ram Das, my Guru."
