Love conquers boundaries

Those who love the nameless source of all that is. recognize the unity of life. This is the understanding of the world's fifth largest religion, the Sikh religion. Its timeless wisdom inspires a virtuous, reflected, and spiritual life—in harmony with nature.

Spirituality reminds us: we are souled beings—with a common origin. Not biological robots. From this realization arises love of our creator and his creation. From love emerges devotion—devotion transcending own community and nation. We Sikhs therefore consider the German Unity as a religious event!

Dialogue ensures solidarity and peace. This is a fundamental experience of our Council of Religions. United we are. as humble guests of our mother earth, and as Sikhs - learners.

Spiritual wisdom teaches us: to change the world means to change ourselves. To those who overcome egoism the universe stands open. In this respect, the new global goals towards more sustainability give us hope that we may create a more just future.

I thank you from my heart and close with the salutation of baptized Sikhs:

Wonderful, pure Enlightener. Your Will comes to pass.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa. Waheguru ji ki fateh!
