Yes, this was what  Harvinder Singh, founder and managing director of Incontrol received for his unreserved journey towards accomplishing his dream of building a world class company in a fully localized environment.  It was indeed a proud moment for him as he received this prestigious award at a presentation  ceremony  at the JW Marriot on 11th December 2008, the winner among three other also well-placed nominees in the technical entrepreneurs group.

The responsibility of choosing the Top Nominees and the Award Recipients for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 Malaysia was entrusted to an independent panel of judges comprising leading figures from the local business community.

Believing in himself and having the confidence to be a world-beater and with the mission statement " building partnerships with empowered people", Incontrol Tech Sdn Bhd, founded in 1997 as a joint venture operation between Austria's VA TECH SAT GmbH and Systems for Automation Technology Sdn Bhd (SAT), is today a fully localized, Malaysian owned engineering operation after a management buyout in 2006.

Backed by his lovely wife, Ravinder Kaur and four children, who have always had the same passion and perseverance as Harvinder,  are the guiding force behind his success and victory. Having such a well balanced family background has enabled Harvinder to lead  a strong social life and to be able to be  actively  involved in community work. His passion also runs  into leading a Scottish bagpipe band, the only one in the world run by a Sikh and into running a non-profit school, Sekolah Sri Dasmesh in Kuala Lumpur.

Having won this impressive award, which identifies and recognizes the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs who have established and built successful companies, and the benefits it brings to the economy in terms of job creation, Harvinder  will always be a much admired role model in the organization and as well as in the local community.
