The book provides insight by investigating the Sikh legacy spanning the 15th to the 21st centuries. Amardeep Singh, the author will be speaking at the following locations (see below), sharing the journey of research across Pakistan.
"Lost Heritage: The Sikh Legacy in Pakistan", Author events across Canada, USA & UK
At Partition of India in 1947, the drawing of borders left a rich part of the Sikh heritage in what became Pakistan – small towns, communities, places of worship! Some still survive today, but only just a few. 80% of the erstwhile Sikh empire fell in Pakistan and today we have forgotten the Sikh legacy in these lands as the community has remained restricted to visits to Nankana Sahib, Panja Sahib and a few more functional Gurdwara only.
Would the footprint of Sikh presence in these lands be limited to these few Gurdwaras?
Seven decades after partition, in a unique quest for his community’s lost heritage, Amardeep Singh travelled deep across Pakistan to discover the vast remnants of the Sikh legacy.
At seminars across Canada, USA & UK, hear the author share his research and journey in making of the book "LOST HERITAGE The Sikh Legacy in Pakistan".
