"Sewa holds a great position in the Sikh Panth. As we know, when he was impressed with Bhai Amardas ji's sewa, Shri Guru Angad Dev ji blessed him with the Gurgaddi.
Shri Guru Amar Das himself explains in Gurbani 'Gur ki sewa gur bhagat hai, virla paye koi.' It means that Guru's sewa is equivalent to Guru's devotion. Only those on whom he showers his blessings can achieve his sewa.
So we should all pray to him and beg him to also do his sewa..."
