Though I am a senior government officer but I am known as a public servant. Maybe because of this public keeps me well cared and well fed. However, temptation of easy money was irresistible. The result was that a trap was laid and I was caught red-handed and handed over to the law.
Ultimately I landed in the jail. More than the stigma. curse or the jail itself, the prison food was more painful and difficult to swallow. I did not want to eat it at any cost and wanted to be spared of this at a cost. The jail staff agreed that I can get the tiffin from home but at the price of one thousand rupees per meal. I remained the jail guest for 21 days and spent forty two thousand for having the luxury of home cooked two meals each day.
After getting freed from jail I came home but a Pundit sent a chilling note into my spine. He told that I had in my fate kismit to have the prison food for twenty one days which I have not taken. For this I will have to again go to jail to fulfill that obligation fixed for me.
With folded hands we were before pundit jee to think of some way out. He went into deep thought process and said, “You are lucky. There is way out. Now you get the jail food for twenty one days and have this on your dining table in the luxury of your home.”
I approached the jail officials again and I was told that I can get this but I will have to pay one thousand rupees for each meal. Now I am having the jail food in my house at a price and of course fees to the pundit jee.
