We arrive in Patna Sahib, the air thick with gathering crowds of people arriving from near and far. The State of Bihar has spared no amenity in order to welcome the millions making their pilgrimage to the birth place of Guru Gobind Singh.

The gurdwara hall, 5 km away from the takhat, is decorated majestically in blue and gold. Fresh flowers stretch extensively around Guru ji's throne.

The surge of the sangat moves in powerful waves, each person waiting their turn to bow before the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Nearby, sevadars diligently work to prepare around the clock lungar for a sangat of over 2 million.

How can I describe the feeling here? There is no better place to be than here in Patna sahib to celebrate the birth of Guru Gobind Singh.

With Kirtan pulsing through every speaker it is hard not to feel the spirit of cherdikala. Although each has their own reason for attending, it is here that the sangat truly stands as one Khalsa.

Wahiguru ji ka Khalsa Wahiguru ji ki Fateh

Editor's Note: The Raj Khalsa Yatra of Western Sikhs to the 350th Anniversary Celebrations in honor of Guru Gobind Singh's birth was organized by Sikh Dharma International.  #RajKhalsaYatra2017
