Saranpreet (10K) Recently most of my Hukams have been coming from Guru Arjan. So I decided to refresh my memory by reading about him. I'm not very familiar with him, I mostly remember that he composed letters to his father Guru Ram Das and that these became Mera Man Loche.

I also remember the stories about his jealous brother Prithi Chand, who tried to poison Guru Arjan's son Hargobind.

I think it's great to learn more about the Gurus. I feel more and more at home with the different "Nanaks" as I connect to their words through daily hukams. I really do take the advice to heart and I feel like I'm being coached and guided. I take hukams generally in the morning after 'Japji' and a short ardas but I also take hukams during the day if I need to, for all kinds of advice. I love this technology and I love the beauty of the advice.

Today I got some beautiful lines from the Guru:

"When I dwell upon Him in my soul, all my sorrows depart.
The sickness of anxiety and the disease of ego are cured;
He Himself cherishes me. ||2||

Like a child, I ask for everything.
God is Bountiful and Beautiful; He never comes up empty.
Again and again, I fall at His Feet.
He is Merciful to the meek, the Sustainer of the World. ||3||"

I love "God is Bountiful and Beautiful".

I'm really getting into bound lotus now, it's wonderful and restorative but still challenging. I'm opening up but not reaching both hands to the toes yet. It's made me feel my heart space more clearly. Waheguru!.

I've begun to do more pranayam. I've been really lazy with it before because I've thought of it as boring and usually it's made me space out. Now I feel more ready to get going with it more. I'm doing sodarshan chakra kriya and some breath of fire. It feels great.
