ClinTec International CEO and President, Dr Rabinder Buttar won the prestigious ‘Business Woman of the Year’ at the Sikh Awards held on Sunday 10th October
The award ceremony was organised by the Sikh Directory and was attended by over 600 people at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The awards recognize the top Sikhs in Britain across the areas of Art, Sports, Entertainment, Education and Business. Baroness Young of Old Scone presented the Business Woman of the Year award to Dr Buttar during the ceremony.
On winning the award Dr Buttar commented “Sikhs in Britain are making a positive impact in all areas of British life including the important area of healthcare which affects us all. I am proud and honored to receive this award and thank all those who have supported me in making ClinTec the global success it is today. I started ClinTec from scratch and now have hugely committed employees present in 40 countries globally who are delivering excellence in clinical research to our clients who include 8 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in the world".
Last night’s award success comes shortly after Dr Buttar was named Female Business Leader of the Year at the Scottish Leadership Awards held in Glasgow on 6th October 2010.
The winner of the Business Man of the Year award was Dr Kartar Singh Lalvani OBE who founded Britain's fastest growing major nutraceutical company Vitabiotics. Others who received awards included Jazzy B, the world famous Punjabi entertainer and 94 year old marathon runner Fauja Singh.
