Mother of Bahadur Singh who served Sri Singh Sahib Yogi Harbhajan Singh Khalsa with Tan, Man and Dhan has passed away in India. She was almost 90 years old. She was the wife of Jawant Singh ji. Bahadur Singh name has been associated with SEWA (Sikh Education and Welfare Association) , Sikh Image, Gurmat Chanan, and Sikh Awareness Champaigne. Bahadur Singh went to India and is now back in Seattle.
Bahadur Singh served most of his life to Sri Singh Sahib Yogi Harbhajan Singh Khalsa ji under various capacities. His brother who is in Australia and doing Panth Sewa also went to India to be part of the Bhog. Lot of people from all sects: Namdharis, American Sikhs, Punjabi Sikhs and other walks of life joined at the Bhog.
Bahadur Singh has lead Jathas to Pakistan and was instrumental in initiating the Sikh Gurudwara Society of Pakistan, USA with Ganga Singh Dhillon. It was after the Sikh Gurudwara Society of Pakistan, USA was formed that Indian Government allowed Jathas to visit Pakistan namely to weaken the Sikh Gurudwara Society of Pakistan, USA. Their intention was also to identify innocent Sikhs languishing in Pakistan jails on spy. Kashmir Singh was such a spy who was released by Pakistan after spending 35 years in jail in Pakistan. Bollywood film “Veerzaara” highlighted the tempt of innocent people languishing in jails in Pakistan.
Bahadur Singh can be seen doing sewa in Seattle. He was instrumental in promoting “Census”. He would paste Census forms and go door to door. He said he was a walking advertisement. Although lot of people did not agree with the Census survey which has become known after the stringent laws to curb illegal immigration in Arizona and Alabama. Both the states have blamed the Obama administration for illegal immigration. In Alabama even children are being asked if their parents are in this country legally.
Bahadur Singh is living at the home gifted to him by his daughters at 20219 94th Place South, Kent, WA 98031. Condolensces can be sent to him at the above address. Asked what he will like to do now. Bahadur Singh said he will like to serve the Sri Singh Sahib Yogi Harbhajan Singh Organization in some capacity. Yogi ji always treated him like his younger brother.
