MTV’s New Talk Show Will Wake Up Celebrities In The ‘Middle Of The Night’ And they'll be forced to serve as host. No, really.

9/14/2015: Most late-night emcees front their episodes from the confines of a brightly lit studio and have a bit of leeway time to prepare their shtick. But all of the traditional aspects of this genre of programming are going out the window on MTV’s brand-new talk series.
“Middle of the Night Show” — which is set to premiere on October 8 after “Ridiculousness” and “Broke A$$ Game Show” — is a fast-paced re-imagining of this long-running television format with a bunch of humorous twists. As the trailer below shows, “MOTNS” features CollegeHumor’s Brian “Murph” Murphy — with a crew and house band in tow — guiding a celebrity host throughout a bunch of fun-filled shenanigans.
The catch? The stars — including Jordin Sparks, Flula Borg and many more — are going to be rocked from their deep slumber during the wee hours and forced (from their beds) to take on entertaining responsibilities right then and there. Bring on the groggy cue card readings and disoriented behavior…because “f**k sleep.”
“You want me to host, now?” WWE superstar — and “Real World“/”Challenge” alum! — Mike “The Miz” Mizanin declares from the sheets. Right this minute, yes.
Watch the crazy antics unfold in the clip, and be sure to catch the premiere of “Middle of the Night Show” on Thursday, October 8 at 11/10c! And for more “MOTNS” updates, keep checking MTV News, as well as the show’s Twitter account and Facebook page.
