Greetings from Amritsar Tourism Outreach!
The city of Amritsar founded by Guru Ram Das is indeed blessed. But the city of The Golden Temple needs its citizens to take pride, and take responsibility for it. It is however, imperative that a holistic annual activity plan be devised. The Amritsar Tourism Outreach therefore has planned a series of programs starting with The Gold City Marathon, an idea for which we seek your support and participation.
RUN MOTIVE - MY CITY, MY PRIDE, MY RESPONSIBILITY!
- To create events as part of Tourism calendar of the city
- To instil a sense of pride, and responsibility towards the city
- To bring the city on the Global Sporting Map
- To create issue based social awareness
- To assist charities and philanthropic activity
The Marathon is scheduled for late
this year, The Run For Amritsar is planned to be held on 22Jan 2012.
We have invited the pride of Punjab Fauja Singh for this event,
which shall comprise a
Citizens Walk For Amritsar, and
The Run For Amritsar.

Start/End Point: Town Hall Amritsar
Route: Walled city heritage route
This is an initiative of the city of Amritsar.
