Sikhs are known to be progressive, fearless and as wishing well to all. We have been recognized as martial arts experts world-over.

Our distinct identity has made us immediately recognizable. There are not many Sikhs in the public eye and the Mr. Singh International Competition is designed to increase awareness of the beauty and power of full Sikh roop. Akal Purkh Ki Fauj have come up with an effort to encourage the Sabt Surat Sikh youth to enter the public eye.

Mr. Singh International 2005, a realisation of a dream itself, was inspired by Sikh Gaurav Jaspal Singh Mumbai, winner of Grasim Mr. India-2003. Thousands of Sikh youths participated in the contest out of which 44 qualified for the final at Amritsar. In an impressive and well organized function, S. Harpreet Singh Patiala was the winner. S. Inderdeep  Singh Ambala, and S. Inderjit Singh Sangrur were declared first and second runners up respectively. The well attended function was graced by S. Parkash Singh Badal, Shri Yash Chopra, Shri Raj Babbar, Smt. Dolly Guleria, Sikh Gaurav S. Jaspal Singh Mumbai’s, S. Vikramjit Singh Sahni and many more.

The second contest was held in Dec.2007, it took our dream to an all time high bringing sabat Surat Sikhs to the forefront in the field of modeling and acting. Sr. Permeet Singh of Dehradun , Inderdeep Singh of pathankot, Tejinder Singh of Baroda stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The programme was attended by thousands of spectators and became a new chapter in the saga. Stars attending this gathering included  Sh. Rishi Kapoor, Sh. Randhir Kapoor, Sh. Himesh Reshamya, Sh. Raj Babbar and the Late Sr. Ishmeet Singh.

The amazing success of the function could not be possible without the positive role of the press and the active participation of the public. Winners of this contest were invited to participate in T.V. Channels, Advts. and magazines directly as the outcome of this competition.

Now it is 2009 and the programme this year, has been chalked out to hold auditions in 54 major Indian cities. The major cities of Punjab, Jammu, Sri Nagar, Ambala, Karnal, Shimla, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ganganagar, Delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Bhopal etc. have been short-listed for auditions. The youths who qualify in these competitions will find a place in regional competitions and those qualifying in the regional competitions, will compete in the pre-final at Raipur.

The top 20-25 Sikh youth will qualify for the finals at Amritsar which is scheduled to be held on November 21, 2009. Many sponsoring companies and individuals deserve our thanks and gratefulness for their cooperation and liberal contributions without which all this could not be possible. Our special thanks to S.
