Poorab likhiaa kamaavanaa j karathai aap likhiaas ||
What aap - karathai, The Creator Lord has likhiaas - written, so the being acts. So the being acts, poorab likhiaa kamaavanaa, the human being acts out what has been written.

Moh t(h)agoulee paaeean visariaa gunathaas ||
He is drugged on the drug of moh, of attachment to this world. Visariaa gunathaas, he has forgotten the treasure of all goodness, Waheguru.

Math jaanahu jag jeevadhaa dhoojai bhaae mueiaas ||
Guru Amar Das Ji Maharaj says, math jaanahu jag jeevadhaa, do not think this world is alive. Dhoojai bhaae mueiaas, the whole world is mueiaas, is drugged in the love of duality, dhoojai bhaae.

Jinee guramukh naam n chaethiou sae behan n milanee paas ||
Those people who haven't become Gurmukhs and chaethiou, and remembered The Naam, sae behan n milanee paas. They do not find behan, any place to rest, paas - close to God. They do not find any place to sit near to Waheguru. Basically, they are not close to God at all.

Dhukh laagaa bahu ath ghanaa puth kalath n saathh koee jaas ||
Dhukh laagaa, they suffer dhukh - pain, bahu - such great pain, ath ghanaa - the worst pain. Puth kalath n saathh koee jaas. They suffer this horrible pain because everything they have attached themselves to, their puth - their sons and daughters, kalath - their families, their wives, n saathh koee jaas - none of that goes with them.

Lokaa vich muhu kaalaa hoaa a(n)dhar oubhae saas ||
In this world, their face is blackened by lust, by anger, by desires, by attachment. A(n)dhar oubhae saas, and they sigh again and again, they take deep breaths.

Manamukhaa no ko n visehee chuk gaeiaa vaesaas ||
No one visehee, no one relies, or has any trust in the manamukhs, in the people who follow their mind. Chuk gaeiaa vaesaas. All their vaesaas, all their trust in the manamukhs is lost. Why? Because they have attached themselves to desires, into thinking only about their own desires.

Naanak guramukhaa no sukh agalaa jinaa a(n)thar naam nivaas ||1||
Naanak says, guramukhaa no such agalaa, the guramukhs live in complete sukh, in complete peace. Why? Because jinaa a(n)that naam nivaas, because The Naam, The Name of Waheguru abides within them, within their souls.

Ma 3 ||

Sae sain sae sajanaa j guramukh milehi subhaae ||
Sae sain, those people are truly related to us, sae sajaanaa they are my actual friends, j guramukh milehi subhaae, who join and unite with Waheguru by becoming guramukhs, by following The Guru.

Sathigur kaa bhaanaa anadhin karehi sae sach rehae samaae ||
Anadhin - day and night, they live their lives according to the bhaanaa, according to the will and the commands of The Sathiguru. Sae sach rehae samaae, they remain samaae - submerged, in the truth.

Dhoojai bhaae lagae sajan n aakheeahi j abhimaan karehi vaekaar ||
Those people who are lagae, who are attached to the love of duality, to the love of this illusion of the world, sajan n aakheeahi, they are not friends, j abhimaan karehi vaekaar, they live their lives in ego and by practising vaekaar - false deeds.

Manamukh aap suaarathhee kaaraj n sakehi savaar ||
Manamukhs only think about themselves, they're suaarathhee - completely selfish. Kaaraj n sakehi savaar - they do not help out with anybody else's affairs and anyone else's works.

Naanak poorab likhiaa kamaavanaa koe n maettanehaar ||2||
O Naanak, they kamaavanaa, they just have to live out their pre-ordained destiny. Koe n mattanehaar, no one can take away their destiny from them, or change it.

Pourree ||

Thudhh aapae jagath oupaae kai aap khael rachaaeiaa ||
Waheguru, You Yourself created this jagath - world. Aap khael rachaaeiaa, You created this game Yourself.

Thrai gun aap sirajiaa maaeiaa mohu vadhhaaeiaa ||
You created the three qualities: Sato gun - the saintly quality, Rajo gun - the kingly quality and Tamo gun - the dark quality. You made them Yourself. Maaeiaa mohu vadhhaaeiaa, You created this attachment to maaeiaa in all beings.

Vich houmai laekhaa ma(n)geeai fir aavai jaaeiaa ||
The manamukh is called for account for what he has done in houmai, in ego. Everything done in ego, you are asked to account for. Then what happens? Fir aavai jaaeiaa, the manamukh has to come and go from this world again and again.

Jinaa har aap kirapaa karae sae gur samajhaaeiaa ||
Only those who God Himself blesses Kirapaa upon, has mercy, sae gur samajhaaeiaa, are blessed with understanding by The Guru.

Balihaaree gur aapanae sadhaa sadhaa ghumaaeiaa ||3||
I am a sacrifice to My Guru. Sadhaa sadhaa ghumaaeiaa, again and again and again. Gur aapanae, The Guru Who has made me His own, I am a sacrifice to That Guru, sadhaa sadhaa ghumaaeiaa, forever and forever.


So Sathiguru Amar Das Ji talks about how people are off the path. Maharaj Patshah is asking Waheguru, please do kirpa upon me, put me on Your path Yourself, with Your own hand of grace.
