Taren Kaur (UK)

Taren Kaur is an accomplished Singer-Songwriter, Composer, Playback Singer and Spiritual Singer hailing from the U.K. Her love for music was nurtured from a young age as she grew up with a musical father. She taught herself how to play the guitar and began writing her own songs and lyrics, launching her career as a Singer-Songwriter in 2008. She continued to study music and further develop her sound, leading her to English Playback Singing. Her music gained mainstream success, and was even featured in Hollywood films. Despite her success, Taren Kaur never forgot her roots and continued to be inspired by the beautiful Gurbani Shabad Kirtan. She started performing Kirtan professionally around the world, playing the guitar as her vocal accompaniment. Her wish is to take Kirtan to new heights and inspire the younger generation to connect with God and learn about Sikhi through her new contemporary western style of Kirtan. By creating a fusion of western music and Gurbani, she hopes to encourage the youth and sangat to delve deeper into Sikhi and its teachings. In addition to Kirtan, Taren Kaur also writes songs in English on various topics related to life and spirituality. Her goal is to use her music to help others learn about Sikhi and the Guru's teachings, and to share her passion and love for music with the world. Taren Kaur's music style is primarily western, with a unique fusion of Gurbani Shabad Kirtan. Her heartfelt voice and soulful guitar playing create a mesmerizing atmosphere of harmony and peace. She aspires to inspire the world with her music and teachings, and to help people find inner peace and joy through the power of Gurbani.
