[VIDEO] I had written this poem after listening to the difficulties that Sikh women and men had with their appearance and their Sikh identity.
But I think if love is real then nothing seems difficult even if it means losing an eye. A sacrifice will never feel like a sacrifice at all; it would just be an expression of that love from one person to another.
Who wants to give their head? The circumstances were different, but the meaning of giving your head or carrying your head on the palm of your hand is the same. It means total dedication, total commitment to God.
This is a poem I wrote so that regardless of your appearance, I wanted Sikh men and women to feel beautiful within their own skin. "I dream of his free-flowing beard. His magnificent mane, curled and twisted along his beautiful strong jaw."
How can we hope to reach this state, feeling truly free upon the earthly plane? Holding responsibilities, jobs, families, schedules, etc., and yet feel joyfully unfettered? How can we be truly “tubular” (an empty tube for divine spirit to flow through) so that what we produce out of us does not exhaust us?
Two people have one sensitivity, one action, one reaction and one feeling and it doesn't matter how much time and distance they have between themselves—that is the state of ultimate love.

Let us pray, hope, aspire that we get to taste this divine love or Prem Rus in our lives. The Guru Ji's blessing is all that we need and aspire for, and may we be blessed to experience the feeling of divine love within.
