DarbarKartarpur (40K)SIALKOT - The dozens of male and female Sikh Yatrees from London-UK, India and Canada visited their native houses in Sialkot and surrounding areas amid tight security to refresh their pre-partition memories. They also met with their old friends and their children and distributed sweets and exchanged gifts with them.

They also went to Darbar Sahib Kartarpura and attended the religious rites. The Sikhs also took “Ashnaan” there and distributed special sweets among the local people, besides, extending gratitude to the Muslims.

On this occasion while talking to the newsmen, the Group Leader Sardar Parbeet Singh from London stressed upon the need of early durable peace in Indo-Pak Sub Continent for the regional development, peace and prosperity. He said that the world community must come forward and use its complete influence for peace in this Sub-Continent. He said that both of the nuclear neighbours Pakistan and India should immediately re-start the peace talks in the larger interest of the people of Pakistan and India for peace.

The Sikhs also thanked the Government of Pakistan for protecting Sikhs’ sacred places, especially Guru Dawaaras in Pakistan. They said that Sikh Community was ready to play its pivotal global role for establishing durable peace in Indo-Pak Sub Continent.
