Sikhs have pioneered in various sports and have achieved international fame. Both men & women of different ages – from their teens to the nineties, have gained world-class stature and brought awards befitting our talented community.

To recognize their fantastic achievements, the Sikh Foundation presents their 2009 calendar, featuring 12 original paintings by artist Sukhpreet Singh. From the legendary Milkha Singh to the aspiring Olympic 2008 medalist Manjit Kaur, from the conquests of the lofty mountains by Capt MS Kohli to the domination of the cricket fields by Monty Panesar, from the veteran athlete Fauja Singh to the youthful Avneet Kaur Sidhu, from Kamaljit Sandhu, the trailblazer first Indian woman to win an international gold medal in athletics to Bishen Singh Bedi, the master of spin. All of them along with Balwinder Singh Fidoo, Tara Singh Baraina, Surjit Singh and Rajbir Kaur have done us all immensely proud.

With its oversized format (15.5” wide and 23.5” high) printed on high quality art paper, it is perfect for display at home and office. The date pad has sufficient space to write notes and when the year is out; you can cut it off and keep the calendar as a poster book or frame each work. As an interest provoking conversation starter, it will be extremely useful both for introducing non-Sikhs to the sporting achievements of Sikhs as well as inspiring and enlightening Sikhs of all ages.

Please support this unique effort to showcase the sporting talents of our community by choosing to adorn your homes with this unique calendar as well as gifting it to your clients, associates, friends and family. For organizations, individuals or families, who wish to personalize the calendar with their names, the calendar is priced at $12 (shipping and handling extra) for a minimum order of 100 calendars. For lesser quantities, each calendar is priced at $15 (shipping & handling extra) and can be booked online at sikhfoundation.org
