Seva Call Service Launches to Find the “Right” Professional in Washington DC

DC Metro residents are done wasting time when shopping for local service help. Seva Call finds high quality local professionals in seconds and puts them on the phone with consumers.

Potomac, MD - 20 June 2012 - Seva Search, Inc. announces the DC Metro launch of Seva Call, a free service that seamlessly connects consumers with high quality local businesses over the phone instantly. Seva Call finds the “right” professional by looking at a variety of factors including online ratings and reviews, social reputation and interaction, call analytics, and other forms of consumer and business feedback.

“We are thrilled to bring Seva Call to our hometown because we know how frustrating it is to find someone to help you with what you need, when you want it,” said CEO Gurpreet Singh. “Local service professionals will also benefit by choosing which customers they want to work with and will be able to talk to them immediately.”

Washingtonians will now be able to quickly find reputable businesses from accountants to window replacement, and over 40 other industry categories. Consumers visit the website at, enter their need, location, availability, and within seconds, receive phone calls from up to three reputable professionals who are best suited to meet their specific request. Seva Call respects user privacy and does not share the user’s contact information; instead all communication is through a conference call.

Consumers often have to rearrange their schedules to accommodate service professionals. Time spent waiting for in-home services and appointments cost American workers $37.7 billion in 2011, according to an IBOPE Zogby poll. Typically consumers also spend valuable time researching and calling several businesses trying to find one that meets individual requirements such as specific need, location, availability, and above all, quality. The Seva Call team expects most users to get the first call back within 90 seconds from a business that can meet these specific requirements.

According to comScore, 61% of consumers consider ratings and reviews an important factor in selecting a local business, but only 29% actually use them in their selection process due to lack of availability. Seva Call already incorporates these essential elements into its algorithm, leading to a better match.

The Seva Call service is simple for businesses to use as well. When Seva Call receives a request that matches consumers to particular businesses, the service request is relayed to those businesses as a phone call, email, or text message. The businesses then have the opportunity to accept or reject the request based on factors such as job details, availability, and proximity. Seva Call’s Pay Per Conversation platform allows companies to make informed decisions about their prospects and select the best customers.

Seva Call will launch nationwide later this year, starting with the east coast cities of Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York City. Free Seva Call mobile apps will be available on both the Apple iOS and Google Android platforms in the near future.

Seva Search, Inc. based in Potomac, Maryland just released a virtual concierge service that seamlessly connects consumers with local businesses in near real-time via the Seva Call proprietary platform. Seva Call saves consumers time by finding high quality businesses that can meet their needs at their convenience. Local businesses receive detailed consumer requests leading to quality matches. In September 2011, Seva Search, Inc. raised $1.3 million from investors, entrepreneurs and angels.
