2009 UK Visit for Gurmat Parchaar by Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Jee Dhadrianwale

Tousands of Sikh Sangat from all over the UK are attending Gurmat Parchaar by Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Jee Dhadrianwale. Every Gurdwara/location where a diwaan is being held is being completely filled and in most cases, over capacity. Three Amrit Sanchaars have already taken place in Hayes, West Bromwich and Southall. Two more will be held in Newcastle and Sedgley Street Wolverhampton.

These diwaans are being supported by all, in particlar by the SIKH YOUTH. A lot of Sikh youth is attending and coming on the path of Sikhi. Everyone and the Sikh youth are supporting the Gurmat Parchaar being done by Sant Dhadrianwale who are openly doing Panthic Parchaar on every Gurdwara stage just as they do in India.

Emergence of

Emergence of sants/babas/sadhus/fakirs etc in all the faiths have always created a divide in the faith they belong to or preach about. It ultimately leads to emergence of religious sects. It is written on the wall and is a pity that we can not read it. Are we not going against the wish and will of Guru Gobind Singh ji by recognising these people as 'guru' or 'religious leader' ? We have holy Gurbani and a system/procedure/guidelines laid by Guru ji, why should we not follow the system instead of inventing new systems ? I use to read the comments of some members that sant Bhinderanwala 'revived' sikhism !! Was sikhism dying before that ? What did sikhs and sikhism gain during his leadership ? What are the after-effects and impact of that ? If we deeply look at the reality then we will find that trend of sikh youth trimming beard and cutting hair caught momentum after normalcy was restored in Punjab, which means that socalled revival was very temporary and out of fear not from heart. We should read more and more about Guru Gobind Singh ji and follow his will which is very simple ,loud and clear.

What would you rather have?

At least this guy is out there, keeping our faith alive. If he is visiting countries like England and making more youth faithfull, then what harm is he doing? England is a country for example, where many Punjabi youth are screwed up. Some are converting to Christianity and Islam, while most are cutting their hair and shaving and shedding their faith from the inside. Our girls are drinking and smoking and are getting banged by Pakis and other races. They are getting banged by africans like it is nobodies business. And then they wonder why we have "honor killings". These people are living in great shame and it is all because they have no faith. If they were immersed in our faith AND culture, then they would have some hope. There is nothing more shamefull than our girls converting to Islam and having sex with africans. And that has nothing to do with skin color. Anyone who is Punjabi from the inside understands that our girls are our pride and when they have relations with outsiders, it brings great shame. But that is happening. Why? They are without guidance and living without faith. If a guy like this can bring about a religious revival and awakening, then why beat on a good thing? What would you rather have? Stop badmouthing this guy and give him a little credit. Just look at the pictures of UK Sikhs having an "awakening". No, this is God's will. God's work. Let it be. Show me something better.

perrysinghJi,I can understand,respect and appreciate your feelings and concerns for punjabi and punjabiyat.Simple truth is that we have been given an umbrella by our gurus to protect us from heat and rain.If we desert it to any of the direction under any excuse or reason or attraction we will be caught offguard.This is what has been happening to young boys and girls.These sants have directly or indirectly been inventing their own kind of sikhism which is resulting in emergence of religious sects thereby divide among sikhs.Sikh youth are going into the shelter of sects, cults and sants just to gather inner and public support to justify or cover what they themselves actually realize is something wrong or against their faith,culture,traditions and customs.Here in bollywood and modeling world in India, it has become something like a status symbol for females to have relations with clean-shaven africans/arabs/khans/muslims.Why do we not want to follow the way Gurus showed us?

Mr.Perry, I totally agree with you that one should not badmouth Sants and 'Mahapurashs' as it is against the teachings of our eternal Guru, SGGS Ji but at the same time would like to caution you and other Sikh Sangat not to be carried away merely by the presentations or claims of 'Sants and babas' like the one in question. You are perhaps not aware that today there are more Sant/Babas and their Deras in Punjab than all the Gurudwaras put together. This has become a very lucrative business and many Pakhandis are making hay in Punjab. In fact these Babas/Sants and other Deradars are the root cause of all the troubles faced by our religion. These people under the garb of preaching Gurbani in simple PUNJABI take you away from GURBANI OF SGGS by making you listen to their own self created 'Kacchi Bani' and Sakhis. They have started their own Rehat Maryadas and their own sects. Ranjit Singh Dhanderian claims to have left no corner of Punjab where he has not organized Amrit Sanchar Diwans in which thousands of young Sikhs had taken AMRIT. I ask Ranjit Singh where are those young Amritdhari Sikhs? You hardly find any 'SABOOT SOORAT SIKH' in any part of Punjab. What happened to the claims of Ranjit Singh? Mr. Perry, Ranjit Singh is not the only one there are thousands like him, everyone claims to have made lakhs of people Amitdharis. PERRY Ji, IF THESE PAKHANDI BABAS AND SANTS WERE TO BE BELIEVED THE ENTIRE SIKH POPULATION OF PUNJAB SHOULD HAVE BEEN AMRITDHARIS TODAY whereas the bitter truth is that almost 90% of the Sikh population of Punjab has fallen prey to these Pakhandi Babas/Sants and have moved away from the Gurbani and are 'Patits'. We must always remember, where ever the name Wahaguru Ji is herd , there resides the presence of Sri Wahaguru Ji Himself. This is the age of Kal-yug , the darkest of all ages, people have become Godless , often I read on Sikhnet where some are doing Ninda to our western sikh brothers and sisters, but we should NEVER forget that by the mercy of Sri wahaguru Ji they gave us Sikhnet, and the world is listening to Gurbani twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, I wipe the dust of their feet, may Wahaguru Ji continue to bless them so that they will continue to educate the world. Do you think our enemies like to see us unified and to congregrate in such large numbers ? I don’t think so, remember the bombing of Sri Harimandir Sahib was a premeditated act only waiting to happen, and the assissanitation of Indira Gandhi give them a reason to finish us from the roots, If they had the choice they would repeat 1984, tomorrow, but they know very well that India will go up in flames. When RSS hindu brahmins see such large powerful followings they become envious, and so they mislead innocent Sikhs into writing articles which will create divisions amongst our community. We may NOT agree with some of the sants approach, but they are NOT our enemies, they are delivering the message of our Gurus, and they are blessed to do so. We have many problems widthin our society which was created by outside influence, and we must be aware of this. we must be very observant and cautious as to not create any problems from widthin , once they maintain the last name Singh, and convey the true message of our Gurus I personally have NO problem with them, I wipe the dust of their feet. Look, I am not impressed by this particular Saint either, by the way. I am arguing this point over principle only. Ever listen to Sant Isher Singh RareSahibh? If not, do it, then tell me if the Queen's Punjabi is better than the Punjabi of the poor and uneducated. Do I respect this Saint. Personally, NO. Not impressed. Am I going to badmouth him? NO. It clearly says not to in JapJi Sahib. He is a kid. He is no perfect. He is, however, in a noble line of work and even if he gets it right by only %50 percent, then that is 50 percent that punjabi people will benefit from. None of us are perfect. If he is wrong about something, it is OK to correct him. He if he REALLY going against rehat maryada then the sangat needs to correct it. I did not like it when I saw people going to his feet. But, as you know, in Punjab, that is a sign of respect to an elder. Anyways, it does not look good and he should not allow this. I stand on principle only. I am also taking a stand against you people who think you are better and your Queen's Punjabi is better than the Punjabi of my ancestors. I hate modern, civilised Punjabi. I LOVE the OLD Punjabi of the villages and the unducated folk. That is the language that gets to my heart. Like I said, GOD is not in the cities and Universities. HE can be found in the villages and with the poor.

What is KACHI BANI ?

This debate about kachi/pakki bani is misleading and divisive . Technically, 'Satguru bajho hor Kachi hai bani' and only Bani of Guru Granth Saheb ji's would be 'Pakki bani' and if that is the measure then most kirtaniyas (including those making the most noise about this 'Sant' other sants doing Kachi bani themselves without realizing) are reciting Kachi bani when sing Bhai Gurdass ji di varaan, Bhai Nand Lalji di gazlan, katha of Kavi Santokh Singh ji's Suraj Parkash in Gurdwaras across the world.

If Guru Hargobind Patshah ji approved of dadhi varaan and Guru Gobind Singh ji patshah having 52 kavis (poets) in his Durbar, it must be okay to do 'Guru ustat' in simple language of dadhis, kavishers, kath vaachaks, and singing 'Dharans'. as long as they are singing praises of Guru Saheban.

Please look at the facts and history do not create divisions in Panth with non-issues. We have more important issues on hand such as 70-80% of Sikh youth becoming patit and drugs use among punjabi Sikhs.

I am not a follower of Sant Ranjit Singh any way or fashion but when I look at totality of his work he is probably doing far more positive work for Sikh Panth than most of his detractors combined. On the other hand, If he or others indeed are crooks or pakhandi, they will pay for it sooner or later (if you truly believe in Guru's word). However, even if there is a small chance that they are not pakhandis or crooks, then you will have to answer to Guruji. Bhul Chuk maaf karni ji.

You call the way he sings Kachi Bani. Have you ever heard of his holiness Sant Baba Isher Singh RareWale? If you haven't heard his Katha, listen to it. This Kachi Bani goes straight to your soul. This stuff is what faith is made of. I don't care for modern, eloquent Punjabi. I like the Punjabi of villages, the uneducated. It is, beautiful. Guru Nanak's Punjabi was not eloquent either. It was straight and simple. When he said to God - "Tain Ki Dard Na Aya?", that was not the queen's Punjabi. That was OUR Punjabi. Kachi Bani. You people are so arrogant. God does not reside in the cities and universities. He can be found in the villages, with the village folk. He can be found with the uneducated and poor. This Sant should not allow people to bow to him. I do agree that he is making a mistake there. But, is anyone perfect? By the way, how many people have you given the gift of faith lately? How many people have you performed Amrit on lately? Have any of you badmouthers done any good for anyone lately? If so, then talk, otherwise, stop the Ninda.

Those claiming Ninda are missing the point. The point isn't that he's not doing good for some people. The point is that this type of simple punjabi use as kirtan is watering down real kirtan spoken as gurbani. Once again, I feel this will ulitmately resulting in dumbing us Sikhs further. I'm sure there is a reason that our Gurus chose to write Gurbani instead of spoken Punjabi.

Waheguru keeps us guessing. Whilst distractions like this are going on it gives Waheguru Ji the chance to Deliver to this Earth the Gupt Souls who will be Pragat at the right time.

May Waheguru Ji Bless all of Humanity regardless of their intentions. The more we criticise others for their actions or inaction then the more we wash their sins.

Let us worry about our work as Gursikhs and let Waheguru worry about his creation as a whole. Spread love to everyone regardless of their social or cultural status and you too will be elevated spiritually. The world is too vast for us to sort out ourselves! Worry about those things that you can influence.

Just look at it in the way that if someone is doing something that is deemed anti-Gurmat then they are only filling up their own boat....and what happens when the boat is overloaded??

I have done my fair share of Ninda in the past for which I ask forgiveness. Thanks to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji I am more enlightened of the effects of Ninda on the body, mind and soul. From what I have seen of Sant Baba Ji can only be good for the "Common Folk". When I was younger and sometimes even now I sit in the Gurdwara to listen to visiting Pracharaks and to be honest I don't always understand what is being said. So rather than walk away enlightened I walk away with gaps in my knowledge. This is because they try to use, what I term as, "Educated Panjabi". Sant Ji appeals to the younger or less educated audiences out there today because of the simple language used. Some might call it "Kachi Bani" but how do we define Kachi Bani? To an uneducated person not speaking in easy terms that they understand is, to them, Kachi Bani!! I view him as the one who opens the door for those who then go forth to the Panj Pyare to become Amritdhari. He is not the one who administers the Amrit, therefore this makes him different from the other REAL "Pakhandis" out there. He shows people the way.

Now, I can't access the video from work so I can't comment on it, however what I will say is that whether people give him gifts, money or other offerings then he isn't going to hurt their feelings by rejecting them? He also is a human being and on this earth you need money and tools to get around and most importantly to live! If people do bow to him, sometimes you can't avoid it because you can't always anticipate everyone's actions. I talk through personal experience, because it has happened to me a couple of times when people just quickly touch your feet before you can even stop them let alone anticipate that they were going to do it.
If the people bow down once then they will be put right by the Panj Pyare when they proceed to Amrit Sanchar.

Throughout my time working in Europe over the past 2-3 years I have seen a LOT OF LOST PEOPLE (All races and religions). Everyone is searching for something better, so I just share what I can about Sikhi with them. When you tell them about what Sikhi is all about most of them are fascinated and want to know more, I usually get instant respect from then on. Not saying they will all convert to Sikhi, rather they will find something they could adopt in their lifestyle.

Of course where there is every action triggers a reaction. And there are those who just like to criticize at every opportunity because it has become a bad habit for them. The disease of Ninda has consumed them completely. My Ustaad in Norway once said to me that when you point one finger at another then remember there are 3 fingers pointing at you (try it. Close your fist and then stretch out your index finger as though to point and you will see what I mean)

Bab Budhaji was not called SANT, Bhai Dayalaji, Bhai Mati Dasji, Bhai Sati Dasji and hundreds of such great personalities, who made Supreme sacrifice were not called SANTS. Stop complaining about saints or people that claim to be saints. If they are not, they will pay the price. If they in fact are saints, then you will pay the price! Is that a chance any of you want to take? Our Gurus were very, very clear about this. Guru Arjun Dev Ji says "Oh man, if you are one of those who fears death, find and keep the company of saints". Guru Nanak says "Asankh Nindak Kar Siri Paar" - Millions badmouth saints only to add weight to their heads. Leave these people be. They are what they are. And you never know, one of them might end up being real. "Sadhu Ka bola sahaj svayey, Sadhu Ka Bola Birtha Na Jae". "One can change god's will and god will change for the person praying, but God will not change the will of a Sadhu/Sant". Such is the relationship between God and a Sant. We need guides in this world. Do not badmouth people you don't know. "Guru vinah Gatt nahi, Shah vinah Patt Nahi". We need living teachers to help us guide the way. We do not worship them and they are not equal to the ShabadGuru, but they are teachers. "Gur Bin Gian Nah Hoey". Without a teacher, you will not learn anything. Be carefull of who you badmouth. Many people badmouthed our Gurus. Remember that. "Koei Aakhey Bhootna, Koei Kahe Betala, Koei Aakhai Aadhmi, Nanak Bichara". Guru Nanak says "Some call me a ghost, some call me a faker and some just call me a man, *but nobody could see me for what I really am (added by writer to help what Guru Nanak was trying to say - integrity of Bani is never compromised by a Gursikh). This "sants" style of "kirtan" is perfect. It makes us dumber because one just chants the lines that he says. I agree that he has many followers but we must remember that it is easier to follow the path of least resistance. We don't want to try to learn gurbani the way that Guru Sahib wrote it. Instead its easier to chant and repeat simple punjabi lines. This style of parchar is defnitely quantity (he has the following to prove it) however I'm uncertain about quality.
