It is learnt that United Sikhs International Civil and Human Rights Advocacy (ICHRA) Team received an email confirmation from the Pikey Bar and Café Management detailing that the portraits of the Sikh Guru’s have been removed from the Bar as of October 1st, 2013.

Some 15,000 Sikhs from Southern California and beyond came together on Sunday, April 7th to Celebrate Baisakhi at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

These central Sikh values and traditions have culminated into establishing the Guru Nanak Food Pantry which is run by local volunteers with the purpose of serving anyone in need.
“The clothing business is the way we are able to do everything you see here,” said Bhajneet Singh, 31, who runs Papillon with his parents and extended family. “We pride ourselves on that work-life balance.”

Chilly morning of Dec 20, the LA Sikh community gathered at the Fred Jordan Mission to participate in the Annual Christmas Toy Drive.

The day’s festivities began with a blissfully meditative Puran Asa De Vaar at 4:00 am at Guru Ram Das Ashram, artfully played by Hazoori Ragi Darbar Sahib, Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa and jetha.
