...The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has restarted its langar sewa, this time even delivering food to families who have tested positive and are unable to cook or arrange a meal for themselves...

Besides home delivery, the DSGMC is also serving langar to a large number of poor families, including migrant labourers, in these difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.

"Be it 1 lakh or 2 lakh, we are ready to serve langar to as many people on a daily basis and have started our preparations accordingly," he added.

Earlier, a Gurudwara in Noida's Sector 18 too had launched a similar service in the area to provide food as help to COVID-19 infected patients and their families.

"We are trying to help the families who are COVID positive and are unable to cook food. We are making packets of food for them and leave that in front of society gate and the security guard takes the packages of food to the families," Gurpreet Singh, Head priest of the Gurudwara told ANI.
