Satgur Ram Das ji
Maharaj speaking in the Soohi Raag today. Satgur Ji begins the Shabad with:
jin kai antar vasi-aa
mayraa har har tin kay sabh rog gavaa-ay.
jin kai antar vasi-aa mayraa har har, antar
means deep inside, vasi-aa means to abide, those people in
whose hearts vasi-aa abides mayraa har
har, who abides in my heart, the Lord God, Waheguru; tin kay
sabh rog gavaa-ay, sabh all of theirrog diseases gavaa-ay have been removed
by God. What is Guru Ji saying here? We always say Waheguru Ji is everywhere,
He abides in all of us then why do we have sufferings? Why do we have diseases?
Guru Ram Das Ji is saying that those people who have realized that Waheguru Ji
is within them, they that God is there all the time, tin kay sabh rog
gavaa-ay all of their diseases, whether they are spiritual, or of ego
and desires, greed, anger and attachment, or whether they are physical, all of
them are removed.
tay mukat bha-ay jin har naam Dhi-aa-i-aa tin pavit param pad paa-ay. ||1|
tay mukat bha-ay They become liberated, jin har naam Dhi-aa-i-aa who have meditated upon God's name. tin
pavit param pad paa-ay They
have found, pad means a way of living, they are in the state
of pavit higher form of living, and the state of living
which is pure. Their state is pure and is the highest form of living.
mayray raam har jan aarog bha-ay
mayray raam, O my Waheguru, har jan aarog bha-ay Those jan servants of Waheguru areaarog bha-ay, aarog means without any
diseases, aa means without and rog means
diseases; so without any diseases, they are inflicted by any type of pain.
gur bachnee jinaa japi-aa mayraa har har tin kay ha-umai rog ga-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o
gur bachnee jinaa japi-aa mayraa har, And who have meditated, achieved the state ofjapi-aa meditated upon mayraa har har my Lord
God? gur bachnee they listen to the Guru'sbachan - words. tin kay
ha-umai rog ga-ay , the
deepest, darkest disease of ego, ha-umaihas gone if we do
what the Guru wants us to do and if we follow what the Guru says. And if we
repeat the Guru's name then our disease of ego will be removed.rahaa-o Guru Ji says pause and thing about this.
barahmaa bisan mahaaday-o tarai gun rogee vich ha-umai kaar kamaa-ee
barahmaa bisan mahaaday-o tarai gun rogee Brahma Ji- the creative demy-god, Vishnoo Ji - who is a nourishing
demy-god and Shiv Ji who is said to be destructive demy-god, Guru Sahib Ji says
even them who have all the power within them even they are tarai gun rogee,
even they are suffering, they are afflicted by tarai gun,
by the three gun, gun are qualities:satogun which is the meek or lowly quality,rajogun which is the kingly or princely quality andtamogun which is a quality of inertia, a dark quality. And
each of these, are in each person, each being and they are made up of these
qualities. Those people who speak very less are very meek, very humble, they
have satogun in them. Those people who are more political,
they have rajogun in them and those people who are more
lazy. They have tamogun within them. And Guru Sahib Ji says
even Brahma Ji, Vishoo Ji and Shiv Ji are afflicted by these diseases. vich
ha-umai kaar kamaa-ee Everykaar - thing that they do is done inhaumai- in ego.
jin kee-ay tiseh na
cheeteh bapurhay har gurmukh sojhee
paa-ee. ||2||
jin kee-ay tiseh na
cheeteh bapurhay, bapurhay - those poor, even Guru Sahib Ji is
saying they are poor, why, because they do not cheeteh
remember Waheguru who, jin, kee-ay have made
them. har gurmukh sojhee paa-ee , only those who send themselves upon the Guru, who follow what
the Guru says, have paa-ee - found the sojhee,
the true understanding.
ha-umai rog sabh jagat bi-aapi-aa tin ka-o janam maran dukh bhaaree
ha-umai rog sabh jagat bi-aapi-aa,
sabh jagat The whole world is bi-aapi-aa inflicted by the disease, rog
of haumai, of ego. tin ka-o
janam maran dukh bhaaree, they
have bhaaree the greatest pain, dukh ofjanam, being born and maran dying.
gur parsaadee ko virlaa chhootai tis jan
ka-o ha-o balihaaree. ||3||
gur parsaadee ko virlaa chhootai
Through the Guru's Grace only ko virlaa, rare some person ischhootai, is liberated. tis jan
ka-o ha-o balihaaree, and
I am balihaaree, Guru Sahib Ji says I am a sacrifice to
those jan, to those humble servants who have been saved from
this.
jin sisat saajee so-ee har jaanai taa kaa roop apaaro.
jin sisat saajee so-ee har jaanai That Waheguru, that Hari who has saajee
created the sisat this universe, only Waheguru Jijaanai knows; taa kaa
roop apaaro, the
true form, true extent of God, only God knows their glory,apaaro, because they are beyond any end, they are infinite.
naanak aapay vaykh har
bigsai gurmukh barahm beechaaro. ||4||3||14||
naanak aapay vaykh har
bigsai Satgur Guru Ram Das Ji says Waheguru Ji themselves watches the
world, bigsai and is pleased. gurmukh barahm
beechaaro Guru Sahib
Ji says follow what the Guru says, center your life upon the Guru, and beechaaro
take this understanding of brarahm of God within your life.
jin sisat saajee so-ee har jaanai taa kaa roop apaaro. ||
naanak aapay
vaykh har bigsai gurmukh barahm beechaaro. ||
