Sathiguru Raamdaasjee Maharaj blesses us. Patshahjee begins the shabad,

Aapae kanddaa aap tharaajee prabh aapae thol tholaaeiaa |
Aapae refers to Waheguru Himself, Waheguru jee Himself is the kanddaa - is the scales, aap tharaajee - Waheguru jee Himself is the weigher. Prabh aapae thol tolaaeiaa - that Waheguru Himself is aapae thol tohlaaeiaa - He is the one that weighs and He is the weights as well. What does this mean? Sathiguru Patshahjee is saying to us that Waheguru jee is pervading through all. Waheguru jee is the scales of love, Wahegurujee is the weigher of faith, Waheguru jee is our faith being weighed up. Waheguru jee is the One sitting in the Guru who judges the faith, who weighs up our faith.

Aapae saahu aapae vanajaaraa aapae vanaj karaaeiaa |
Waheguru jee Himself is the saahu - meaning the banker, the one who owns the treasury, aapae vanajaaraa - Waheguru jee Himself is the vanajaaraa - is the trader, apae vanaj karaaeiaa - Waheguru jee is the trade which is going on. What does this mean? Wahegurujee Himself sits in the Sathiguru and is the banker of the true merchandise of God's name. Just as Siri Guru Granth Sahibjee Maharaj has the treasure of the God's name, in the same way - that is what Guru Sahibjee is saying that that Waheguru jee is the One who sits in Siri Guru Granth Sahibjee Maharaj. Aapae vanajaaraa - He is One who sits in the heart and soul of the Sikh, who is the vanajaaraa - who is the trader, who is the businessman, who comes to the Guru looking for the true trade of God's name. aapae vanaj karaaeiaa - Waheguru jee sits within the saadhsangat and kraaeiaa - and helps carry out this trade. When we sit in the sangat we are trading in the Naam, giving away our thoughts of ego, desire and hatred and taking on the Naam - the treasure of God's name.

Aapae dharathee saajeean piaarai pishai ttank charraaeiaa |1|
Waheguru jee Himself is the One who has saajeean - who has created this dharathee - this earth, this world, piaarai - that beloved Waheguru. Pishai ttank charraeeiaa - behind this Waheguru jee balances it, He has put a ttank - meaning balance there, a counter balance. What is the counter balance? Wahegurujee's Hukam, Waheguru jee's command, Waheguru jee's Will - Waheguru jee's Will is what keeps this whole world in balance.

Maerae man har har dhiaae sukh paaeiaa |
O my mind, har har dhiaae sukh paaeiaa - if you want to find eternal peace then dhiaae - meditate on har har - upon Hari, upon Waheguru, Hari - Who brings life to all, Who nourishes all.

Har har naam nidhaan hai piaaraa gur poorai meethaa laaeiaa | rehaao |
Har har naam nidhaan hai piaaraa - that name of Hari, of my piaaraa- of my beloved Waheguru is nidhaan - is the true treasure on this earth. Gur poorai meethaa laaeiaa - the perfect Guru - Siri Guru Granth Sahib jee Maharaj has laaeiaa - has attached me to this naam and now the naam seems sweet. Because when we are engulfed by the thoughts of the world, it is transitory, passing pleasures which seem sweet to us. Guru Granth Sahibjee says, anmrit kaura bheekhia meethee - the world is like this that they find the immortal nectar of God kaura - meaning bitter and the poison of the world sweet. But when the Guru shows us that we have this disease inside, when the Guru shows us where we are going wrong, the Guru shows us that we are gulping down, consuming more and more poison then we realize that the true sweetness on this world, the true essence is God's name. Gur poorai meethaa laaeiaa - through the true Guru's Grace, through the perfect Guru's Grace the name of God seems sweet to me. Rehaao - pause and think about this.

Aapae dharathee aap jal piaaraa aapae karae karaaeiaa |
Aapae dharathee aap jal piaaraa - Wahegurujee Himself is the dharathee - is the earth, aap jal piaaraa - Waheguru jee is pervading through the water as well. Aapae karae karaaeiaa - Waheguru jee is the One Who is carrying out everything and Waheguru jee is the One Who orders everything to be done as well. Waheguru jee is sitting amongst all and is permeating through everything. In the ddharathee - in the earth of our soul Wahegurujee is like that jal - that water of love which is watering the soil of our soul.

Aapae hukam varathadhaa piaaraa jal maattee bandh rakhaaeiaa |
Waheguru jee is the One who issues all of the commands and in whose Will the whole world is walking. Jal maattee band rakhaaeiaa - the jal - water and maattee - earth, band rakhaaeiaa - in God's Will the sea is bound, the earth is bound. It is through God's Will, it is through God's command that sea just doesn't come and engulf all world, all the water, 70% water that there is in this world doesn't engulf the land - that is through God's Will, God's command.

Aapae hee bho paaeidhaa piaaraa bann bakaree seehu hataaeiaa |2|
Wahegurujee is the One, our beloved Waheguru Who puts this bho - this fear within all, within all of the elements and keeps them in balance, keeps them in check. Ban bakaree seehu hataaeiaa - tying the goat and putting a tiger around it. What does this mean? Like this earth is surrounded by water and water could engulf the earth anytime but because of Gurujee's Hukam, Guru jee's fear the earth and water remain separate. The land which is above water remains above water. When it is His command it goes the other way. Ban bakaree seehu hataaeiaa - another understanding of this line is ban bakaree - through His Grace some people take on the qualitites of humility, the goat is giving the picture of humility and seehu - the ego is hataaeiaa - is taken out of them.

Aapae kaasatt aap har piaaraa vich kaasatt agan rakhaaeiaa |
Gurujee Himself is in the kaasatt - is in the wood, aap har piaaraa - Wahegurujee Himself is in the har - har meaning fire here. Vich kaasatt agan rahaaeiaa - in the wood Waheguru jee is the One Who keeps fire. What does this mean? Waheguru jee Himself is the wood of our body, Waheguru jee Himself is the fire of His name within. Within our body is His light, His name. Vich kaasatt agan rakhaaeiaa - within our body is His name, simply we need to take the external flame of the Guru's shabad, of Guru's mantar, of Waheguru mantar and we could ignite our soul within, we can find that Light within us.

Aapae hee aap varathadhaa piaaraa bhai agan n sakai jalaaeiaa |
Waheguru jee Himself is the one who varathadhaa - who works through all. Bhai agan n sakai jalaaeiaa - because of the bhai - the fear of God's hukam, of God's Will the fire cannot jalaaeiaa - cannot burn the wood.

Aapae maar jeevaaeidhaa piaaraa saah laidhae sabh lavaaeiaa |3|
Waheguru jee Himself is the One who kills all, who destroys all. Wahegurujee Himself is the One who sits in the Guru and blesses us with the gift of anmrit and brings us back to life. Saah laidhae sabh lavaaeiaa - everyone draw their breath lavaaeiaa - but only those breaths that are given by Him. We breathe through God's Will because God wants us to.

Aapae thaan dheebaan hai piaaraa aapae kaarai laaeiaa |
Waheguru jee Himself is the thaan - is all powerful, dheebaan - is the support of the whole world, aapae kaarai laaeiaa - Waheguru jee is the One Who attaches us to our own kaarai - into our own jobs, into our own affairs, into what we are doing.

Jio aap chalaaeae thio chaleeai piaarae jio har prabh maerae bhaaeiaa |
As my beloved Waheguru wants me to chalaaeae - wants me to walk, that is how I chaleeai - that's how I walk, jio har prabh maerae bhaaeiaa - as it pleases my Hari, my Waheguru, my Lord God.

Aapae janthee janth hai piaaraa jan naanak vajehi vajaaeiaa |4|4|
Waheguru Himself is the janthee - is the player of instrument, He Himself is the instrument, piaaraa - that beloved God. Jan Naanak vajehi vajaaeiaa - servant of God, Siri Guru Raamdas Maharaj jee says, vajehi vajaaeiaa - vibrates, rattles as He rattles us. We walk as He wants us to walk. We move as He wants us to move. So Gurmukh piaareyo in this hukamnama today Sathiguru Raamdaasjee Maharaj is saying to us that
Waheguru Himself is the One who sits in all and does all - never forget this. Amongst all, what is the center of this shabad? Maerae man har har dhiaae sukh paaeiaa | Realize that God is pervading through all, God is doing all and if you want peace amongst all of this then meditate upon God's name.

Jio aap chalaaeae thio chaleeai piaarae jio har prabh maerae bhaaeiaa |
Aapae janthee janth hai piaaraa jan naanak vajehi vajaaeiaa |4|4|
