Bihaagarraa mehalaa 5 |
Satguru Patshah speaks to us today. Maharaj does bentian in the charan of Akal Purakh Wahegurujee and says,

Kar kirapaa gur paarabreham poorae anadhin naam vakhaanaa raam |
O Guru, O parabreham, O limitless, O creator of world - do this kirpa, bestow this grace upon me that anadhin naam vakhaanaa raam - that day and night may I repeat Your name, O Raam, O Waheguru. May I repeat Your name again and again.

Anmrith baanee oucharaa har jas mithaa laagai thaeraa bhaanaa raam |
Through jap of the Naam, what will happen? Anmrith baanee oucharaa har jas - may I speak the jas - the praises of Waheguru which are contained where? Which are contained in the Anmrith baanee - the immortal nectar of Guru Sahibjee's bani, in Guru Sahib's Words, in the shabad of SGGSjee Maharaj. May I sing these shabads again and again and through singing these shabads may I understand, may I realize that mithaa laagai thaeraa bhaanaa raam - Your will, may Your command seem sweet to me. Satguru Arjan Sahibjee who practically showed this while sitting on the boiling hot plates in Lahore with hot sand being poured onto their head, still with their tongue singing the praises of Waheguru, despite everything, is showing us practically how this tuk, how this line in implemented in life practically.

Kar dhaeiaa maeiaa gopaal gobindh koe naahee thujh binaa |
O Wahegurujee, O gopaal - O sustainer of the world, O gobindh - the One who is the seed of the whole universe, the creator of the whole universe please bless me with dhaeiaa and maeiaa - dhaeiaa means kindness and maeiaa - please have grace upon me. Koe naahee thujh binaa - without You I have no one.

Samarath agath apaar pooran jeeo than dhan thuma manaa |
You are Almighty, agath - beyond all accounts, even beyond words, apaar - You have no end, pooran - You have no end. O my Lord Waheguru - You are perfect, beyond all and Almighty. My than dhan - my wealth and mind are all Yours.

Moorakh mugadh anaath chanchal baleheen neech ajaanaa |
Hey Waheguru I am moorakh - I am foolish because I haven't repeated your name, I am mugadh - I am stupid. Why? Because I haven't understood when the saints have instructed me to sing Your praises I haven't listened to them. Anaath - literally means an orphan, I have no family. What family haven't I got? - Family of virtues around me. I am chanchal - my mind never stays in one spot it's always wondering. I am baleheen - I don't have the power to control my senses or my mind. I am neech - because I follow the desires of my mind and ajaanaa - I am ignorant because I have no knowledge of Your spiritual wisdom. But Guru Sahibjee says,

Binavanth naanak saran thaeree rakh laehu aavan jaanaa |1|
I have entered into Your protection and protect me from aavan jaanaa - from coming and going into the this earth, from the cycle of reincarnation.

Saadheh saranee paaeeai har jeeo gun gaaveh har neethaa raam |
O Gurumukh pyaareo - Guru Sahibjee is saying to us that we can find har jeeo - we can find our Lord in the sanctuary of the saints. That is where we can find the Lord. - By sitting among those holy Guru de Sikh who repeat Satnaam Siri Waheguru. What do the they do? Gun gaaveh har neethaa raam - day in and day out they sing the virtues, the praises of Waheguru.

Dhoor bhagathan kee man than lago har jeeo sabh pathith puneethaa raam |
By attaching and by applying the dust of bhagatans - of those devoted Gurmukhs, those devoted Gursikhs, those beloved pyaare, those beloved ones of the Lord - on your man and than - on your mind and body; Guru Sahibjee is saying, go to the gurdwara - do jorreyan di seva - the seva of cleaning the jorrey, put the dust of their feet on your head. Also whilst doing that take the dust of the sangat and put it on and within your mind. What does that mean? - remembering something you hear in sangat and applying it to your life, hearing something in katha and applying it in your life and taking it wherever you go, not just leaving it there. This is the way you will find the Lord.

Pathithaa puneethaa hohi thina sang jina bidhaathaa paaeiaa |
O Wahegurujee, all Pathithaas - all sinners in this way can become puneetha - can become purified. Pathithaa puneethaa hohi thina sang - the sinners can be purified in the company of those jina bidhaathaa paaeiaa - who have found their husband Lord, Wahegurujee - the Creator of all. Those people, those holy saints who meditate upon Waheguru - in their sangat you can find the Lord as well.

Naam raathae jeea dhaathae nith dhaehi charrehi savaaeiaa |
Those Gurmukh pyaare are completey raathae - completely imbued in the color of God's name and jeea dhaathae - they are blessed by the giver lord with the gift of true spiritual life - the death of all sins and all paaps of within and the blossoming of life, love, compassion and kindness within. Nith dhaehi charrehi savaaeiaa - day in and day out they give this pyaar, they give this understanding out - even when giving this understanding out it is still rising, it's not like money in this material world where you give some away you become poorer. In spiritual side if you give it away you gain, 10 fold, many fold.

Ridh sidh nav nidh har jap jinee aatham jeethaa |
By meditating upon Hari, Waheguru, the nine treasures and supernatural powers - all of these powers follow those gurmukh pyaare who meditate upon Hari. Jinee aatham jeethaa - those are the ones who have conquered their soul but they don't pay attention to these, why? - Because their focus is on the feet of the Lord and nothing else.

Binavanth naanak vaddabhaag paaeeahi saadh saajan meethaa |2|
You find Wahegurujee through great fortune and paaeeahi saadh saajan meethaa - through great fortune you will find those holy sajan, those holy friends and companions who will help us on the path of the Lord. We do ardaas everyday, sayee pyaarean mel jinna mileaa tera naam chit aavaai - unite me with those in whose company I can remember the Lord.

They only know the One Lord, they eaek maanehi - they only believe and have faith in the One. Raam kai rang maathiaa, maathiaa - they are completely mast - completely intoxicated in the love of Waheguru, all they can see is One Light. Bhai Khanayeaa jee in the batte field sees Guru Gobind Singh wherever he looks. He sees no Hindu, Muslim or Sikh. In the same way Gurujee is telling us in this line here;

Lag santh charanee parrae saranee man thinaa oumaahaa |
Fall at the feet of the saints, parrae saranee - fall into their protection. Man thinaa oumaahaa - those who fall at the feet of the saints their minds are filled with ecstasy.

Those people who have meditated upon har har - upon Wahegurujee they are not afflicted by dhookh; pain, rog; illness and bho - fear. Pain, illness and fear do not come near them. They are unaffected by these things.

Santh prasaadh tharae bhavajal poorab likhiaa paaeiaa |

Vajee vadhaaee man saath aaee miliaa purakh apaaree |
Within them they have these vajaay - these instruments of congratulations, vajee vadhaaee - they are congratulated in this world and the next. Man saath aaee- their minds are full of shanthi; peace. Why? Because miliaa purakh apaaree - they've found that purakh who is apaaree - who is limitless, they've found God

Binavanth naanak simar har har eish punnee hamaaree |4|3|
Satguru sahibjee says simar har har - meditate upon that Waheguru and by meditating upon that Waheguru all my eish - all my desires are punnee - are fulfilled.
May Satugur Arjan Sahibjee do kirpa upon us that we may also can do this ardaas in the charan - at the feet of Waheguru: Wahegurujee please unite us with those saintly beings who meditate upon Your name and may we also be blessed to meditate upon Your Name in their company.
