Ik oa(n)kaar sathigur prasaadh ||
There is one Eternal Waheguru, Lord God, Who is the Creator, Nourisher, Destroyer of the whole world. Everything is within His kaar, within His hukam, within His command. He is found through the Grace, the parsaad of the Eternal Guru.

Har har naam dhhiaaeeai maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae guramukh naam amolae raam ||
O maeree, my ji(n)dhurreeeae, my soul, dhiaaeeai - meditate upon The Naam of Hari, of Waheguru. That Waheguru, that Hari, Who nourishes your mind, Who destroys your paap and your sins. Centre yourself upon The Guru, and you will find the amolae, the invaluable, the priceless, the most valuable Naam, The Name of The Lord.

Har ras beedhhaa har man piaaraa man har ras naam jhakolae raam ||
When your mind is beedhhaa, is pierced through with har ras, with the essence of Hari, with the essence of Waheguru, when you get that taste of Naam, of The Name of The Lord within you, and in your man, in your mind, Hari, The Lord God seems piaaraa, that ras, that essence of Hari, of Waheguru is only jhakolae, is only tasted by the man, by the mind through the naam, through The Name of The Lord. There is no other way of finding the eternal essence of The Lord.

Guramath man t(h)eharaaeeai maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae anath n kaahoo ddolae raam ||
O my soul, t(h)eharaaeeai - steady, stabilize your man, your mind with The Guru's math, with The Guru's wisdom. Follow the Guru's path. If you follow The Guru's path, your mind will become stable, it will become steady, it will become firm, by following The Guru's rehat, The Guru's instructions. Anath - never again will it ddolae, will it waver this way and that, never again will you fall into thinking of this path and that path, because you will have The Guru's path leading your way.

Man chi(n)dhiarraa fal paaeiaa har prabh gun naanak baanee bolae raam ||1||
Chi(n)dhiarraa means what you wish for in your man, in your mind. You will find the fal, the fruits of all your mind's desires, if you follow The Guru's math, if your follow The Guru's wisdom. You'll even find that Har prabh, That Lord God Waheguru, you'll be united with Waheguru. If you sing the Bani, the praises of God, the gun of God, and the Bani of The Guru, the Words of The Guru which is all praises of God, of Waheguru.

Guramath man a(n)mrith vut(h)arraa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae mukh a(n)mrith bain alaaeae raam ||
Sathiguru Jee talks about guramath again, about The Guru's wisdom, The Guru's instructions, The Guru's teachings. O my soul, though following The Guru's teachings, vut(h)arraa, your mind will be fulfilled, your mind will be filled up with the a(n)mrith, with the immortal nectar of God's Name through The Guru's teachings. With your mukh, with your mouth, sing the bani of a(n)mrith, the immortal words of The Guru, the immortal words of Waheguru. if you sing these words, then inside your mind, the a(n)mrith will come to abide, the immortal nectar wil abide in your minds. If you sing the praises of God with your tongue, God will come to abide within you.

A(n)mrith baanee bhagath janaa kee maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae man suneeai har liv laaeae raam ||
The Bani, the words of the bhagath janaa - the humble bhagaths, the humble devotees of God, those Who are in love with God, are a(n)mrith, are immortal. Maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae, O my soul, bring immortanlity in your life. They will take away all of the desires and anxieties of the world. They will bless you with immortality if you listen to those words. Listen O my mind to the words of those devotees, the saints, the guramukh piaarae, the Guru centred beings, the Sikhs of The Guru. In this way attach your liv, your consciousness to Hari, to Waheguru.

Chiree vishhu(n)naa har prabh paaeiaa gal miliaa sehaj subhaaeae raam ||
Even though you may be vishhu(n)naa, separated from Waheguru for chiree - for may may years, much time, even then har prabh paaeiaa, you can find The Lord. You will be miliaa - united in the embrace of The Lord. Sehaj subhaaeae, and you will be blessed with the subhaaeae, with the state of sehaj, with that state of complete poise and balance in your life.

Jan naanak man anadh bhaeiaa hai maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae anehath sabadh vajaaeae raam ||2||
Sathiguru Ram Das Jee says O my soul, in my mind, there is now anadh, there is eternal peace, eternal happiness. Anehath means never-ending, the unstruck never-ending sound of God's vibration vibrates with me, the vibration of the shabad of God's Name.

Sakhee sehaelee maereeaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae koee har prabh aan milaavai raam ||
O my soul, those sakhee sehaelee - those blessed friendswho are close to The Lord, may one of those great beloveds of my beloved Guru, milaavai - unite me with my har prabh, with my Lord and Master.

Ho man dhaevo this aapanaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae har prabh kee har kathhaa sunaavai raam ||
O my soul, I would give my man, my mind to that beloved being, who sunaavai, who recites to me, who tells me the katha, the path of The Lord, who tells me about God, who tells about the path to meet har prabh, That Waheguru, That Lord God.

Guramukh sadhaa araadhh har maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae man chi(n)dhiarraa fal paavai raam ||
O my mind, sadhaa, forever and ever, as a guramukh, as a Guru centred being, centre your life upon The Guru and always meditate, araadhh upon Hari, upon Waheguru, upon The Lord God. This is the way of paavai - of receiving the fal, the fruits of your chi(n)dhiarraa, of your mind's desires.

Naanak bhaj har saranaagathee maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae vaddabhaagee naam dhhiaavai raam ||3||
Sathigur Ram Das Jee says bhaj har saranaagathee. Run into, hurry into, and meditate in the saranaagathee - in the protection of Hari, of Waheguru, of The True Guru. O my soul, those who have great fortunes, who are blessed by The Guru, dhiaavai - meditate upon The Naam, upon The Name of The Lord.

Kar kirapaa prabh aae mil maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae guramath naam paragaasae raam ||
O my soul, I have this prayer in my heart. Kar kirapaa - bless me with Your mercy O prabhoo, O Waheguru. aae mil - unite me with yourself. Bless me with The Guru's wisdom, through The Guur's wisdom that I am paragaasae - I am filled with the light of The Naam, of The Name of The Lord.

Ho har baajh ouddeeneeaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae jio jal bin kamal oudhaasae raam ||
Baajh - without Hari, without Waheguru, without union with God, maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae, O my soul, I am ouddeeneeaa - I am depressed, I am sad, I am forlorn. Like a kamal flower, like a lotus flower oudhaasae - is sad, withers without jal, without water.

Gur poorai maelaaeiaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae har sajan har prabh paasae raam ||
O my soul, the poorai - The perfect Guru can maelaaeiaa - can unite you. Because The Guru is a sajan, is a friend of Hari, is a friend of God, is one with God. Har prabh paasae raam - My Guru always abides with God, He is always one with God. He can unite me as well.

Dhhan dhhan guroo har dhasiaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae jan naanak naam bigaasae raam ||4||1||
O my soul, blessed, dhhan, blessed, dhhan, is The Guru Who has dhasiaa - Who has told me the path to Hari, Who has told me the path to God. Sathiguru Ram Das Jee says that the servants of God bigaasae - enjoy and rejoice in repeating the Name of The Lord.

Gur poorai maelaaeiaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae har sajan har prabh paasae raam ||
Dhhan dhhan guroo har dhasiaa maeree ji(n)dhurreeeae jan naanak naam bigaasae raam ||4||1||
