Maharaj Guru Amar Daas Ji is blessing us today. Satgur Ji speaks to us through
the salok first.
vaahu vaahu say jan sadaa karahi jinH ka-o aapay day-ay bujhaa-ay ||

Sahib Ji says vaahu
vaahu say jan sadaa karahi, vaahu vaahu
means amazing, wondrous, beautiful,beyond explanation. vaahu vaahu, in Punjabi we
say vaah, it is like saying wow, it is like saying amazing,
beyond words. It is wonderful, it is wondrous. Gurmukh Piaario, Satgur Ji says
those jan, humble servants of the Guru who are completely
imbued with at all times, sadaa means at all times;karahi - repeating; the name of Guru vaahu vaahu, the wondrous
name of Waheguru, the wondrous name of Lord God which is Waheguru. wahe
meaning wondrous as well; guru meaning that Lord God that
takes us from darkness into light. jinH ka-o
aapay day-ay bujhaa-ay, Satgur Guru Amar
Daas Maharaj Ji says those who have been blessed withbujhaa-ay, with this understanding with the true wisdom by
the Guru only they can meditate upon thy name. aap gava-ay taa har gun
gaa-o Guru Arjan Dev Ji says in Sukhmani Sahib. Only the Lord God
himself inspires you to sing his praises.
vaahu vaahu karti-aa man nirmal hovai ha-umai vichahu jaa-ay

By
repeating that magical, that spiritual word Waheguru and when I am talking
about magical don't take it in worldly sense, I am talking about the magic to
change your life, to take you from having anger filled, anxiety filled,
stressed fill life into a life of ease, grace, humility. vaahu vaahu karti-aa man nirmal hovai By
repeating Waheguru mantar word, by repeating God's name, man nirmal
hovai your mind is cleansed, your mind becomes nirmal,
mal means filth, nir means without; it means immaculately
pure. hovai
ha-umai vichahu jaa-ay, why? Because by meditating on the name
Waheguru, ha-umai the true filth is inside you of ego, ha-umai,
jaa-ay- departs.
vaahu vaahu gursikh jo nit karay so man chindi-aa fal paa-ay ||
Those
Gursikhs, who is a Gursikh? The one who has taken on thesikh, the wisdom of the Guru, he is Gursikh, she is a
Gursikh. Those Gursikhs who nit, day in and day out meditate
upon Waheguru Ji's name; so man
chindi-aa fal paa-ay they find thefal fruit of their man - mind'schindi-aa - desires.
vaahu vaahu karahi say jan sohnay har tinH kai sang
milaa-ay ||

Paadshah Ji says people are not beautiful because of their outwardly
appearance, people are not beautiful because of their bank accounts, people are
not beautiful because of cosmetics or anything like that, Satgur Paadshah Ji says
those people are beautiful, those jan, those humble servants
are beautiful who karahi meditate upon vaahu vaahu, who sing Waheguru
day in and day out. har tinH kai sang
milaa-ay O Hari, O Waheguru, Please milaa-ay
-unite me with their sangat, with their company, with in
their congregation.
vaahu vaahu hirdai uchraa mukhahu bhee vaahu vaahu karay-o ||

Paadshah Ji says when we meditate, not just mukhahu bhee vaahu vaahu karay-o
Guru Amar Daas Ji says meditate with your tongue; mukhahu
means with your mouth, your tongue; say Waheguru, Waheguru, repeat the name of
the Lord, but hirdai uchraa the idea here is
that Waheguru upon your tongue goes into your heart, hardai
inwardly and outwardly, be meditating upon God's name.
naanak vaahu vaahu jo karahi ha-o tan man tinH ka-o day-o. ||1||

Amar Daas Ji says those people who meditate upon Wageguru Ji's name, ha-o tan man tinH ka-o day-o I give mytan - my body to serve them and give my mind tinH ka-o day-o to those people,
to those Gursikhs, to those humble beings. Why do I give them my mind? So that
they can teach me how to bring thoughts of humility, how to think about the
Guru, how to live my life inwardly and outwardly in purity.

vaahu vaahu saahib sach hai amrit jaa kaa
naa-o||
Satgur Ji says vaahu vaahu saahib sach hai that Lord God, WaheGuru is sach, is the
eternal truth. amrit jaa kaa
naa-o And God's name is amrit, is key to
immortality.
jin sayvi-aa tin fal paa-i-aa ha-o tin balihaarai jaa-o||
jin sayvi-aa Those people who have served
the Guru, tin fal paa-i-aa, they have received the fruits of
their service. There is no doubt about that, Guru Amar Daas Ji says. ha-o tin balihaarai jaa-o Guru Sahib Ji says I am
a sacrifice to those Gursikhs who have served the Guru.
vaahu vaahu gunee niDhaan hai jis no day-ay so khaa-ay ||
This Waheguru manta, this name of Lord
God is the niDhaan, the treasure of allgunee, all virtues. Those who meditate upon Guru's Banee,
those who meditate upon the Guru's words, those who meditate upon Guru's manta,
they have received the greatest treasure in this world of virtues. jis no day-ay so khaa-ay But only those who Waheguru Ji blesses
themselves, khaa-ay, taste this nectar.
vaahu vaahu jal thal bharpoor hai gurmukh paa-i-aa
jaa-ay ||
Waheguru Ji is bharpoor, pervading
through jal thal, through all of the water and land, through
everything. gurmukh paa-i-aa
jaa-ay But only through the Guru and only through centering
your life upon the Guru's words can you paa-i-aa, find God.
vaahu vaahu gursikh nit sabh karahu gur pooray vaahu vaahu bhaavai ||
O Gursikhs, followers of the Guru, nit,
everyday, day in and day out meditate upon God's name. gur pooray vaahu vaahu bhaavai The perfect Guru is bhaavai, pleased when
you meditate upon Waheguru Ji's name.
naanak vaahu vaahu jo man chit karay tis jamkankar nayrh na
aavai. ||2||
Satguru Amar Daas Ji says those people who with their mind
and their chittis jamkankar nayrh na aavai even the angels of death cannot touch those
people.
pa-orhee.
har jee-o sachaa sach hai sachee gurbaanee ||
har jee-o Waheguru Ji is sachaa
sach hai, the eternal truth;sachee gurbaanee and the Guru's words are the
path to this truth.
satgur tay sach pachhaanee-ai sach sahj samaanee ||
Through the immortal Guru, satgur tay, through the
eternal Guru, through the Guru's Grace we come topachhanee-ai, understand the sach, truth
we come to understand that this world is false and the God's name is true. sach sahj samaanee And through the Guru's Grace
we samaanee, merge into this sat, this
truth by meditating upon the God's name.
an-din jaageh naa saveh jaagat rain vihaanee ||
an-din jaageh naa saveh Those Gurmukh Piaaray, realize
this, an-din, day and night, jaageh, they
have been woken from their slumber of spiritual ignorance and they are awake
day and night. When they are sleeping or whatever they are doing; what does
this mean that they are aware that that Waheguru, that Lord God is with them
all times. naa saveh
They do not fall into sleep of ignorance again. jaagat rain vihaanee In the night of this world, this whole
world is deep, dark, like the pitch blackness of night but they have
<>vihaanee, they spend their lives, have spent the nights of
their life, jaagat, awake.
And those people are awake cannot be robbed. Those people are awake cannot be
harmed because they are aware and awake.
gurmatee har ras chaakhi-aa say punn paraanee ||
Through the Guru's mouth, through listening to the Guru's
words and though understanding what the Guru is saying and through following
what the Guru is saying, they have har ras chaakhi-aa, tasted the ras,
the essence of God's name. say punn paraanee Those paraanee, those
beings are blessed with the fruits of their labor. They are blessed.
bin gur kinai na paa-i-o pach mu-ay ajaanee ||17||
bin gur Without the Guru, Guru Amar Daas JI says, kinai na paa-i-o no one has
found God. pach
mu-ay ajaanee, Those who haveajaanee stuck in spiritual ignorance they arepach, they have rotted away. Guru Amar Daas Ji is telling us
in this last line that if you think you can get to the Guru any other way,
there is no other path to Guru, there is no other path to God apart from through
the Guru.
gurmatee har ras chaakhi-aa say punn paraanee ||
bin gur kinai
na paa-i-o pach mu-ay ajaanee. ||
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa ! Waheguru ji ki Fateh !
