Naming ceremony
Gurufateh...
I am in doubt over the sikh naming ceremony. I have been wondering if it is possible to do it in the gurudwara all by yourself or do you always need to involve the priest and the relatives?
I mean can just 2 members of a family (parents) do it themselves in the gurudwara when people are not around (maybe during afternoon). I understand that sikhism does not have a priestly class, so I think it would be possible to do it without him too.
Please clarify this doubt and let me know the steps how exactly to do it. It will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Gurufateh..

Re: Naming ceremony
I guess it is not a problem if you wish to do it all by yourself. If possible prepare and take Karha Prashad. Sit in Sangat listen to Kirtan till samapati of Anand Sahib. Do an Ardas asking Guru Sahib that you are taking His guidance to do the Naming Ceremony. Take the Hukamnama or even consider the Hukamnama that is being announced for the whole Sangat. First letter should help you.
