Wrong Raagis for Shabads

Post by Guest »

http://www.sikhnet.com/gurbani/artist/b ... -jagadhari

^ That is by Bhai Jasbir Singh (Poanta Wale Sahib), and now Bhai Harbans Singh (etc). Is there any way that I could make this correction myself? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTbFfcAk51Q

And the same with this:

Not some playback singer > http://www.sikhnet.com/gurbani/audio/gu ... -ki-wadyai

Correct raagi > http://www.sikhroots.com/component/musc ... adyai.html

And then there are more like these, but with Bhai Gopal Singh. Any ideas?

Sat Sri Akal.
But is there really a question of a real ragi for a shabad? Would it not be fantastic for some"wayward" person to do a shabad? Think about this, is it not what the Guru's intended? Yes, they could be doing it wrong, had a history of sorts but is not whatever consequence theirs and WahaGuru's to settle?
They get published, Aah, I can see your concern, it might relay some wrong message, yes, I think a wrong message is worse verses a "wrong" person, but the Shabad is WahaGuru's, its intended for all of humanity and if there are consequences, dont you not trust WahaGuru to settle the situation.

One of the most amazing things about Sikhism is that from the very beginning of existance and through out the lifetimes of our Gurus there have always been challenges and these challenges came from those close to our Gurus, they proposed and created different thought processes from our Gurus who were WahaGuru connected. e.g The Udasis, the eldest child of Sri Guru Nanak and his movement that edged along in parallel with Sikhism, the Hendalis etc etc, but what is so amazing is that our Gurus could not be bothered by it, They has the greatest faith in what they taught, an amazing trust between themselves and WahaGuru, some of our Gurus preferred to move out of a city controlled by the wayward, they perferred that to reacting to it and I realised (after a long time later) that it had to do with the Hukam of WahaGurus command, that our Gurus left it to WahaGurus decision and the cause if His direction. The beauty of our Bani is that it is strong enough to overcome these (strange) people and circumstances. They showed faith and displayed a rare courage. A pretty cool courage in my opinion -- something we should all acquire??

Moderator Note: The question was wrong singer assigned to the recording. Please stay on topic. Sending an email to the webmaster whenever you see a mistake, would help. They upload hundreds of shabads and thus mistakes are easy. Thanks.
