Mėhlā 1.
First Mehl:

Bẖand jammī▫ai bẖand nimmī▫ai bẖand mangaṇ vī▫āhu.
From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married.

Bẖandahu hovai ḏosṯī bẖandahu cẖalai rāhu.
Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come.

Bẖand mu▫ā bẖand bẖālī▫ai bẖand hovai banḏẖān.
When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound.

So ki▫o manḏā ākẖī▫ai jiṯ jamėh rājān.
So why call her bad? From her, kings are born.

From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all.

Nānak bẖandai bāhrā eko sacẖā so▫e.
O Nanak, only the True Lord is without a woman.

Singh jasbeer ji,
The above shabad I was aware of but am unsure if it is motivational for a little girl, it has very good message for the people who do not love girl child or disrespect them. I am looking for something motivational/ indicating parents love towards daughters like in the shabad ' pootah mata ki asees'

Ssa ji
Gurbani does not promote gender inequality..in my view we are children of God and "poota mata ki ases" ..here poota does not only refr to boy child(putar).it goes same for a girl also, who is equal to boy in Gods eyes..

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh

Dr. Kaur ji,

Few quotes:

Why forget Him, who has given us everything?

Kabeer, repeating, "You, You", I have become like You. Nothing of me remains in myself.
When the difference between myself and others is removed, then wherever I look, I see only You. ||204||

Fareed, answer evil with goodness; do not fill your mind with anger.
Your body shall not suffer from any disease, and you shall obtain everything. ||78||

These shabads are not for boys or girls. These are for everyone. So put it in every room. Read every day to implement in your life. (If you hang these quotes on wall as show piece then it has no value. Its beauty comes out when it becomes part of your family life)

Best age to teach kids when they are below 10 years old. Do Japji Sahib with them in morning and At night bed time start with simran (with Waheguru and Mool mantar Jaap) then Anand sahib 6 pauri then kirtan sohila. Discuss meaning of gurbani and listen kids stories with them on sikhnet media app.

Ask them to do mool mantar every time before eating and say thanks to waheguru when they get or done something.

Become role model for them. Fill them with gurbani teachings. This is best gift you can give to them. Without naam the world is burning. Whoever has support of Naam these fires cannot touch them.
