My understanding is that writings of bhagats saints are included in the Guru Granth Sahib is because Guru Arian Devji agreed with what is said. Therefore it is Guru's bani.

Just as an aside, under U.K. Law, Sikhs are classified as a distinct race. A white or a black Sikh person therefore belong to Sikh race. Thus, discrimination against a Sikh is racial and prosecuted as such.

Do not distress yourself. Read Guru Granth Sahib. Understand it. Everything included in the Granth Sahib, in my humble, opinion flows down from mool mantra. Therefore nothing should contradict it.
