Re: India Now Using The Commonwealth Games To Push Agenda
I have done some internet research and the I concede that although I did not see it, the harrasment & humiliation of turbanned Sikhs DID happen at the 1983 ASIAD games.
My memory of that time is that our particular taxi driver did not have any problems.

Re: India Now Using The Commonwealth Games To Push Agenda
Neela With all due respect, you are being insulting. How do you know I was "a passenger in a Congress Party car"?? I was there you were not or were you?? What people may or may not have "Heard" second, third or fourth hand is not proof. Can you prove a link to a neutral website to prove these allega...

Jas4raj, Your comment "It does not suprise me what GOI is doing. They treated Sikhs as crap during the '83 Asian games and Sikhs from Panjab were not allowed into Delhi. They will probably do the same thing this time for the CWG too" Is totally wrong. I was in Delhi at the time, there were plenty of...

Re: Attempts at 'Disproving' Sikhi
I have often encountered moslems who try to strike up a seemingly friendly conversation, they then make the sort of statements that you have written above. islam & christainity are prosletysing religions, they are convinced that they alone are true. In the UK we have very forceful attempts by moslem...

Re: Sikhs from Afghanistan
Jaz, Regarding the first point about the reason for leaving, all I know is what research I have done on the internet. The second point regarding cousin marriage. Why is this carried out? if they are large in number what possible justification is there? Is it carried out in India as well amongst the ...

Re: Sikhs from Afghanistan
When posting comments about Afghan Sikhs, one needs to remember the country the fled from. They may be insular & talk amongst themselves, yes it may be perceived as rude, but essantially it is a survival tactic. In Afghanistan they were a non moslem minority persecuted by the majority moslems, there...
