You can tell the truth that you are half Ravidassi and half Sikh. There is only a cultural difference between the two otherwise there is no difference in concept. Guru Granth contains bani of Guru Ravidas. Check it out.

Jasmine, I know Austin area. I have been in San Marcos, near Austin, for a long time. Yes, there is a Sikh community in Austin. Gurudwara is quite a distance away from UT campus. I am out town for a while. Let us hope someone else can help you. Good luck.
