Re: who thinks SGPC should be doing more?
I don't think S.G.P.C should be doing more. I believe that we should be doing more. We should make ourselves example for others and then inspire others. Guru Nanak Dev Sahib didn't need S.G.P.C to spread the word of Ek Oankar to humanity. Gurbani clearly mentions "Khalsa Mera Satguru Pura" so become...

Re: I wish to convert to Sikhsim... what do I do now?
My advise would be that stay away from Punjabi Sikhs political drama for at least five years. You will get very good progress in your Sikhism path. It is my experience that due to this political drama so many are leaving Sikhism. I may sound very blunt but I am also of Punjabi origin and know the me...

Re: Interreligious marriage for Gursikh allowed?
Let me answer this question. She doesn't represent the whole Sikh community, so we cannot cite her reference and ask questions. No! Sikhs are not allowed to marry such way but we cannot control her decision. She has the freedom to choose her partner but as far as Sikhism beliefs go they do not suppo...

Re: Sikh to Agnostic to Sikh?
We have in Punjab Sikhs who wear turban and they have similar views as yours. There is nothing new in your view. They believe Sikhism has something good to offer but don't believe in core beliefs. You should at least bring something new to table, so we can consider your offer?

Re: Why is there confussion over eating meat?
Please post few verses where Gurbani becomes our dietary manual? If you have studied Gurbani then you should know that selective study of verses is not recommended? You should see the "Rahaou" part in order to understand the true meaning? I had friend who once asked me, if having "chemotherapy" for ...

Here is short reference to Hindu Marriage act. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_Marriage_Act 1. Re: Why is there confussion over eating meat?
Sant Samaj ( Sant Community) is very strict towards not eating meat and that's why they are called Sant Samaj not Sikh Samaj... Sants in Sikhs were heavily influenced with Vedanta/Yogic philosophy and preached vegetarian lifestyle. I strongly oppose the idea of meat is sin for Sikhs. Sikhs can eat m...
