Re: Spreading Sikhi all over the world

Although I think that sikhi was meant to be spread worldwide I dont think it will happen anytime soon. The current religious-political body o sikhs (the SGPC) is mired in regional politics and does not seem to have the desire/foresight or interest in doing so. Simply even going to the SGPC website y...

(Misguided) Sikhs protest overseas

The news about the attack on the gurdwara was horrible. However I dont think that any sikh in America holds the general American population responsible. Unfortunately sikhs overseas have been protesting...sorry but this doesnt help in any way , shape or form. I do think that US based groups need to ...

Re: Oak Creek - Any Lessons for Sikhs?

I would like to think that something as big as this tragedy would wake up the community and want us to be more proactive. However I am afraid it will not have any lasting impact. While watching CNN one of the gurdwara "leaders" said things like we are "HinduSikh". Sorry but I am not a "hindusikh"......

Re: NRI Sarai

Sad but true. Unless you know someone or are willing to pay a bribe your likelyhood of getting a room is low. Last time I went locals (from Punjab) were given /leaving rooms right in front of me. The funny part about this is that they go overseas to collect money for NRI's when they build these sara...

Re: Catholic school embraces non-Catholic kids

What is the point of posting this if we can read the article in the link. At the very least you should have cut and paste the article into your post ...along with the attachment. Also I have noticed that even in India Sikhs prefer Christian schools over Sikh schools secondary to getting a better edu...

Re: Jay Leno's Golden Temple joke

Well instead of letting this thing "die a natural death" and be over with some sikh has decided to fan the flames and file a lawsuit. From a legal standpoint I dont think he has a chance. Instead of accomplishing his goal .....as far as I am concerned he just hurt our cause. For those that do not li...
