[VIDEO] A short narrative funded by Film Independent and PBS, My Dear Americans is about a Sikh woman’s defiant spirit. A recent immigrant to the U.S, Tejpreet is reluctant to embrace her new American identity. In contrast, her husband celebrates everything that mildly reeks of America.

Oscar winners and acclaimed actors come together to make a full production film on Guru Nanak through the life of Mardana ji. The film, tentitively named 'Nanak Shah Fakir' will come out this year and no doubt the Sikh community will anticipate it's release.
This year the theme is: Uncommon Courage. In this video we tried to explain that we want stories about: Unsung heros, Ordinary people... doing extraordinary things. Make us laugh Make us cry. Make us think. Make your film!

Sitting in Guruka Singh's house last week, watching video after video, all of us felt deeply moved and also quite stunned. Stunned at the number of entries. Stunned at the quality of the work. Stunned at how much time, care, effort, thought and energy it took to make each one of these films.
