Husband and Wife Roles

The HOLY Living GURU of the SIKHS the Siri Guru Granth Sahib says in print- Any man who takes money from his wife will go to hell. Strong words from the Guru. If we start interpreting to fit our needs then we might be missing the truth, which is so subtle and beyond us. If one has deep truth then one understands. Such a person is rare, but not rare to the ego. I am educated at an Ivy League myself and understand the subtle nature of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib's true words. It is something one can only feel (for lack of better word) and not intellectualize. There is no need for a woman to work. But if both husband and wife have to work and attribute it to a bad economy then I seriously question how much they are living by the Guru's teachings how much by desires. Simple living is easily achievable today. This point could be pointed out clearly, but I am not here to prove you wrong. This is only food for thought. Thank you for giving your view on things.
