Sikhs in the Los Angeles area are contacting Gurdwaras and organizing their friends and neighbors to take part in the Walk for Hope, happening this Sunday, September 8th at 17950 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach. The 11 Kilometer walk that will begin at 8 am is aimed at both raising money for orphans and health care, as well as providing inspiration and hope in the face of the upcoming September 11th anniversary. Local media is likely to cover the event and Sikhs in the LA area will be creating a strong community presence, showing, by example, the true Sikh spirit.
