Letter Writing Campaign
Buy.com, the number two retailer on the Internet, agreed on Saturday to pull the videogame Hitman 2 from its website, in response to pressure and concerns from the international community about the game’s negative racial and religious content.

Buy.com had received over 4000 emails in the last few days from those supporting the recall campaign, requesting that the website remove the game from its site.

SikhNet, Sikh Communications Council, Sikh Coalition, SCORE and SMART have all been working closely together in the last few weeks, organizing the recall campaign strategy. Last week, the organizations jointly launched an effort to put pressure on retailers to recall the game. Buy.com is the first retailer to remove the game from its website. Leaders from these Sikh organizations are hopeful that other major retailers will follow suit in the next week.
