Dheeraj Shrestha – is one of the Australia’s leading tabla player. He has established himself, worldwide, as one of the finest exponent of 'Tabla' within the younger generation. He is an accomplished, soloist and a versatile (contemporary and traditional) accompanist. An irrepressible creativity, tremendous clarity and exciting rhythmic improvisation spontaneity are his forte.

He handles 'any' percussion instrument with the same commitment and dedication he has shown to the tabla" Besides his tabla playing he is also music producer (composer & arranger). Dheeraj Shrestha has released his own album called "PATIENCE" and recently released live acoustic music "DAWN FLIGHT" He has also produced a number of albums with various world artist & music groups. Dheeraj Shrestha is conversant with various forms of music besides classical and folk, for example: Jazz, Blues, Flamenco etc. He has shown tremendous interest introducing the shades of variation the tabla creates, and breaks down some of the complex rhythms in his tabla workshop and private lessons.
