UPCOMING YATRA EVENTS

Sikh Dharma India Yatra
October, 3rd -16th , 2012

“A “Yatra” is a journey on earth to one’s Isht, one’s higher self, one’s altar, so destiny may not be altered, and one can travel to that destiny. Walk on land with one’s feet where all the great men’s feet have already walked. It is a self-purification”Yogi Bhajan

“The purpose of Yatra (“Yaa-Traa”): “Yaa” means “must”, “Traa” means “swim across”. That is Yatra. So we go from here to designated holy places where we have no other work but to get up in the morning to meditate, to go to beautiful surroundings. Sometimes our mind hustles us but we do conquer it. This is the purpose of Yatra

YogiBhajan (18K)This pilgrimage is designed to be a fully immersive experience in the Nectar of the Sikh faith. From the time you arrive at Shri Anandpur Sahib, all accommodations will be within the parameters of the Gurdwaras itself. This will allow you to fully participate in all the services, in performing sewa, and fostering the feeling of oneness with the Sangat.

The spirituality of the Sikh faith radiates from the Five Takhts or Seats of Temporal Power. We will visit Shri Anandpur Sahib, Shri Harmandir Sahib and the Akal Takht, Shri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo. From there we will make our way to Nanded, home to Shri Huzoor Sahib, and finally to Patna for our last stop at Shri Patna Sahib. There are other activities built in, such as a visit to Miri Piri Academy where Sikhism and Yoga are combined to offer our younger generation a spirit based education.    -- Yogi Bhajan
