Expanding Sikh Dharma mission in Brazil

Miri Piri Brazil is a school to be opened in Brazil, Belo Horizonte, in 2014.

This school model is based on the teachings of Yogi Bhajan , founder of Miri Piri Academy - India .

The programs and the school curriculum combines academic rigor with the practice of kundalini yoga and dharmic values.

Students will have the chance to discipline their minds, train their bodies and connect with your soul. The programs and curriculum are designed to prepare students for the physical, mental and spiritual challenges of life.

Building a School
We teachers of Kundalini Yoga, we believe we have much to contribute in the psychic and emotional construction of children, so we decided to create a school teaching kindergarten, elementary and middle covering the values of this ancient tradition of Yoga.

For this, our community of teachers, through a grant program, aims to raise R $ 500,000.00 by 2014, when the school will open. This amount will cover the necessary expenses to the preparatory phase: Consultancies pedagogical, administrative, legal, financial; Training of teachers from different academic areas; Architectural design; Physical structure of classrooms and laboratories

2. Build confidence and self-esteem.
3. Carve character and stimulate excellence in all areas, based on universal principles of justice, tolerance, compassion and appreciation for diversity.

Miri Piri Brasil

Miri Piri Brasil is a non-profit organization educating children (2-9 years) from all walks of life according to Sikh Dharma values. The Sangat in Brasil has donated over one million dollars to fund a school with an exemplary academic and Dharmic program. The curriculum has been tested on various schools throughout Belo Horizonte receiving endorsements from the State Council of Education.

Now, Miri Piri Brasil needs to raise $135,000 to complete the next phase of the school building project. This includes a Gurdwara and assembly/yoga hall, classrooms, and an outdoor playground. Your donation can directly support the Siri Singh Sahib ~ Yogi Bhajan's vision to prepare future generations to serve the world as leaders of light and consciousness.
