NEW DELHI: Shaming Indian parliament, the country's rulers and its policies vis-à-vis the Sikhs right inside the Parliament of the nation, Independent Rajya Sabha Sikh MP Tarlochan Singh, the former chairman of National Commission for Minorities in India, asked why were gallantry awards given to Indian Army officers after Operation Bluestar. "They were given because they had killed Sikhs," Tarlochan Singh said, his voice aggressive and his tone angry, as Defence Minister A K Antony took notes. Tarlochan Singh, who earlier said when Indians at large were celebrating their new UPA government under a Sikh Prime Minister, "We, the Sikhs, are observing the 25th anniversary of Operation Bluestar." Tarlochan told the Defence Minister and the government of PM Manmohan Singh to withdraw these gallantary awards and tell the Army officers that it was no gallantary to kill one's own countrymen. "Those Army officers who attacked and demolished GT and Akal Takht were given gallantary awards. It is shameful on the part of the government that within India, for attack on its own people, the government...gave them gallantry award." "What for? They (had) captured Pakistan? (Had) They captured China? They (had) killed Sikhs, that is why you gave them gallantry awards. I propose that these gallantry awards be withdrawn, the officers be told that this was no gallantry." “Gallantry awards are given to the soldiers for fighting the enemy and not attacking your own people.” He said A K Antony was a good man and "we have known you as a good CM of Kerala. Now I request that you re-open the file and withdraw these awards." Tarlochan Singh's impassioned speech was all the more appreciated by the Sikh community and all right thinking people in India because there was no pressure on him to even refer to Operation Bluestar. But he was unsparing in his choice of words and while not a single MP from the ruling Akali Dal, including the much hyped newly elected Harsimrat Kaur, even referred to a single Sikh issue, Tarlochan Singh went hammer and tongs and chided the government about its claims of having a Sikh Prime Minister. "It is good that there is a Sikh Prime Minister, but this should not mean that Sikh issues will not be raised now," he said. He also slammed the government for not bringing about the Anand Marriage Act despite a recommendation by a Parliamentary Committee and a promise by the then Law Minister on the floor of the House. "We are very happy there is a Sikh Prime Minister, but the Sikh issues should also be dealt with. Not that there is a Sikh prime Minister and no Sikh issue is taken up," Tarlochan Singh concluded his address. He was speaking in the Rajya Sabha on the Motion of Thanks to the Presidential address. This is wrong to make duplicate golden temple. Ask from them who make it ,that can they make their duplcate home and mother and father . They will say no. Then how can they make this mistake. Some Quantity bricks, sand , cement can not make a new golden temlpe. Shame on the SIKH who built it and further shame on those who visit it. Just like Rham Raheem or Radha Suwami many sikhs go to them when it is clearly stated in SIKHISM that GURU GRANTH SAHIB is your only living guru and we should not bow to any human or statue still LOT of sikhs bow to hindu lords and statues.

How could this ever happen? What is SGPC doing? Practically nothing. These so called holy men have not the least respect for Sri Darbar Sahib and our Gurus. There is only one Sri Darbar Sahib. Let there not be any duplicate replica of our holy shrine. These viscious elements are trying to divide the Sikh Panth. I hope they will never suceed in their false pursuit. Instead of spending milions of rupees on this fake project, why not spend milions to save the lives of our youngsters who are drfting away from Sikhism - they use cigs., they drink and worst of all they take drugs! The SGPC president, who had gone to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, said Sant Attar Singh had never dreamt of replicating the Golden Temple in Malwa as claimed by a section of the management. The SGPC president said that the Mastuana management had failed to fulfil its commitment made to Akal Takht and the SGPC in 1994 that the design and architecture of the Sikh shrine at Mastuana would be changed. Meanwhile, the Sikh Students Federation, led by Manjit Singh Bhoma, has asked the management of Gurdwara Mastuana to demolish the controversial building otherwise a mass movement would be launched against them. However, Sant Surjit Singh, who visited here along with other four members of the Mastuana Management Committee, clarified that no construction work was being undertaken by the management at Mastuana. He said work of desilting of the holy tank was misconstrued for the construction work. He said that status quo was being maintained in accordance with the directive of Akal Takht and the SGPC with regard to stopping further construction in 1994. The construction of a gurdwara resembling Harmandar Sahib at Mastuana was discontinued following intervention of Akal Takht 15 years ago. At present, Sant Sadhu Singh heads the management of Gurdwara Sachkhand Angitha Sahib Mastuana. Since he is not keeping well, he sent his brother Sant Surjit Singh along with Principal Babu Singh Sandor, Prashotam Singh Phaguwala, Jagjit Singh Changal, Ajit Singh, Shaaminder Singh Kanjhala to submit the sealed letter at the Takht. They alleged that a controversy was raked up by an SGPC member who was keen to take over the management of the gurdwara. They claimed that after the demise of previous head of the management Sant Roor Singh in the first month of this year, the same person hurriedly installed a five-member committee and used other ploys to take over the management. However, the sangat rejected his move, they added. Sant Surjit Singh said the foundation stone for the construction of a holy pond and the gurdwara was laid in the memory of Sant Attar Singh in 1967. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
