Ram Dass
As a child, Ram Dass was surrounded by music of all
forms. The Beatles were his nursemaid, Beethoven his
schoolmaster, Simon and Garfunkel his neighbors. Melodies were his bed
and harmonies his pillows.
Ram Dass is a classically trained clarinetist. As a boy,
he practiced his music for hours on end, skipped his
more mundane academic classes, and through the guidance
of his companions and elders his talents grew. He traveled with his
music and performed at venues as grand as Carnegie Hall.
Ram Dass toured with various artists including Snatam Kaur, Manish Vyas
and Nirinjan Kaur before he finally felt he was ready to
unleash his own creativity to create his debut album, The
Alchemist's Prayer in December of 2010.
