Prizes

In order to encourage youth everywhere to get off their butts and take the time to create videos for the youth film festival, we award prizes to the participants in the different age divisions.


 

This year in addition to the great prizes which will be given for 1st 2nd and 3rd place in intermediate, junior divisions, and senior  (18-25 y/o, 11-17 y/o and 26+  respectively) we are awarding a special non-cash award for "Best Film in Genre" in each of three categories: DRAMA, COMEDY and DOCUMENTARY film.

 

Prizes for first 15 Video Submissions!

 The First 15 people to register a qualified video* for the SikhNet Youth Online Film Festival and submit all the required info will receive:

    Come to think of it, most film festivals charge YOU just to register and submit a film! We don’t do that. We want to encourage you to make a video and submit it to SikhNet on time, so we offer you a chance to get a unique gift in exchange for getting creative right away!     Intermediate Division (18 – 25 years old)

    The best films from filmmakers age 26 and older will also be selected and will shown online, but Senior Division filmakers will not be eligible for big prizes, After all, it IS a YOUTH film festival! (though we have a few smaller prizes donated by our sponsors).

This is determined by SikhNet’s actual purchase cost for the items (mostly the electronics). Some of the items are being donated so this amount would exclude the cash value of these items).
