Hi! My name is Harjit Singh. I live in Perth, Western Australia. Being a practicing Sikh living in a western country, I have had the pleasure of explaining my religion to curious people since I could talk and had a little joora! On innumerable occasions of explaining about the Sikh Gurdwara, I have had a common reaction of “REALLY?! You mean ANYONE can come in to your temple/Gurdwara?” This is usually followed by “Is there anything special you have to do to come in?” As my Sikh brothers and sisters know, there are only really two simple rules when going to the Gurdwara.
