Manisha – Daughter of Destiny” is a poetic documentary that tells us about a poor living girl living in the remotest hills of Himalyas who is suffering from a disease known as "CleftLip." From nowhere a ray of hope emerges in the form of Free Medical Camp from a place known as "Baru Sahib".
Shooting this documentary was a great relax to the mind. In this selfish world there are people who work for the benefit of others without having any selfish material.

I think this is probably the best of all…
What Baru Sahib is doing today is actually what Sikhism has done for past 300 years…
The best thing which i liked about this documentary is that there are no special effects, no dialogues and thus it conveys everything…this is artwork
And the music was just awesome..

Baba Ji comes here in USA with the Akal Academy Jatha every year. I had a chance to listen to their Dhadi Waaran,Kirtan and the Mission they bring along with them but it is Great to see what The Kalgidhar Society do in India. Naam Japo,Vand Chhako. We all should support Baru Sahib’s Mission.

I have watched this feature film with very keen interest, and found it to be an ourstanding production. It highlights most beautiful human emotion of seeking joy. All parties involved have fulfilled a great objective of seeking true joy and hope of continuing to do so in future. Impact upon the changed life of Manisha, the little girl, shall go on for her generations to come. It shall have undying effect upon lives of people of the region and bring hope and joy to their lives. The other important players who have accomplished immensely include the administrators, doctors, the individuals responsible for the documentary. There is abundance of motivation that how correctly channeled human resources can bring tremendous change if the will to do good is combined like that.
Ofcourse the greatest motivating power is the message of Dhann Guru Nanak: Satgur sevey karni sarii…meaning: To do seva as ordained by the Guru, is the highest qualitative deed…
May these seeds of joy flourish for ever and ever. Thanks

Baru Sahib embodies the highest principles of Sikhi and translates them into Real Life. The filmmaker did an excellent job in telling the story.
