Ektaa Smagam (Unity Prayers) at Baba Isher Singh Jee Community Centre from 22nd to 24th February 2013 - Nairobi, Kenya

As we near another milestone in Kenya’s history with the holding of the first elections since the unfortunate violence of 2007 / 2008, all Sikhs of Kenya, with the divine blessing of Waheguru (Almighty God) humbly and kindly request your gracious presence and participation in the Ekta Smagham (Unity Prayers) 2013 to be held for three continuous days from the 22nd February to the 24th February 2013 at the Baba Isher Singh Jee Community Centre, Nairobi.

Event Details

As we near another milestone in Kenya’s history with the holding of the first elections since the unfortunate violence of 2007 / 2008, all Sikhs of Kenya, with the divine blessing of Waheguru (Almighty God) humbly and kindly request your gracious presence and participation in the Ekta Smagham (Unity Prayers) 2013 to be held for three continuous days from the 22nd February to the 24th February 2013 at the Baba Isher Singh Jee Community Centre,Nairobi.

To maximize the opportunity presented by the event there shall also be an Interfaith event on the 22nd February at the same venue.

There shall be continuous reciting of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, - Akandh Path Sewa, Sri Japji Sahib, Sri Sukhmani Sahib, Sri Bentee Chaupai Sahib and Sri Dukhbhanjni Sahib in addition to a candle light vigil.

The prayers are open to all members of the public.

We look forward to your participation and presence with immense eagerness.

Do grace your presence and commit your time to prayers for the outcome of the elections to be pleasant and for the peaceful coexistence of all communities in our beloved country.

We also humbly and politely request for sewadars (volunteers) to come forward and put down their names for various sewa ( selfless service )
