SIKHS TO CELEBRATE 346th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS OF LAST SIKH GURU, SRI GURU GOBIND
SINGHJI ON A GRAND SCALE FROM DECEMBER 29 TO 31, 2011.

The most important and major festival (Gurupurab) of the Sikh Community across the world ``SRI GURU GOBIND SINGHJI BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS'', the tenth and last Sikh Guru and founder of Khalsa Panth, who spread the message of peace and communal harmony and protected the country from the invaders is going to be celebrated on a grand scale in Andhra Pradesh from December 29 to 31, 2011.

In this context, the Prabhandak Committee of Central Gurdwara Saheb Gowliguda will take out a colourful `` NAGAR KEERTAN' ' (RELIGIOUS PROCESSION) at 4 pm on December 29, 2011 from Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda, Near Koti, Hyderabad.

On the day of birthday which falls on December 31, a grand ``VISHAAL DEEWAN'' (MASS CONGREGATION) will be held at Central Gurdwara Gowliguda from 10 am to 4.30 pm on December 31, 2011.

NAGAR KEERTAN (HOLY PROCESSION) ON DECEMBER 29, 2011

The Prabhandak Committee, President, S. Tirlok Singh, Vice-President Inderpal Singh AND General Secretary S Satbir Singh and other Committee members said that a mass ``Nagar Keertan'', (Holy Procession) will be taken out on a grand scale on December 29, 2011 at around 4.30 pm from from Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda and will pass through Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj, Siddiamber bazar, M J Market, Jambagh, Putlibowli and return back to Gurudwara Sahib in the evening.

Over 20,000 devotees will take part in the procession. Guru Granth Sahebji (the revered Holy Scripture of the Sikhs) will be carried on a beautifully decorated vehicle along with ``Nishaan Sahebans'' (Religious Flags).

The Procession will be marked by the rendering of Shabad Keertans (Holy Hymns) by the Jatha Tera Jatha and Keerthani Jathas of men, women and youths. Besides that ``Panj Pyaras'' (five beloved ones) in their traditional attire will be the cynosure of the attraction all along the procession.

The major attraction of the procession will be the display of ``GATKA''' a famous Sikh martial art forms and other breathtaking sword exercises all along the procession by Dashmesh Kalgidhar Jatha and other special Gatka Parties will also exhibit their Gatka skills.

VISHAAL DEEWAN (MASS CONGREGATION) ON DECEMBER 31, 2011.

As the main Birthday Celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji falls on December 31, 2011 a ``VISHAAL DEEWAN'' (MASS CONGREGATION) will be held at Central Gurdwara Saheb Gowliguda from 10 am to 4 pm on December 31, 2011, where over 25,000 to 30,000 Sikh Devotees and other community faiths will converge at the programme.

The event will be marked by the recitations of Gurbani Keertans (Holy Hymns) by the reputed Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) who are being specially invited from various parts of the country to render shabad keertans.

Bhai Amandeep Singhji (Punjab), Bhai Partap Singhji Bandhi (Batalawale, Punjab), Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Othi, and Bhai Nanak Singh Sukhmani Hazuri Ragi Jatha and other reputed Ragi Jathas will recite shabad keertans and Kathas and throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus.
After the culmination of the congregation Guru Ka Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to the devotees.

NIGHT KEERTAN DARBAR (NIGHT CONGREGATION) ON DECEMBER 30, 2011.

NIGHT KEERTAN DARBAR : A Night Kirtan Darbar (Night Congregation) will be held at Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda from 9.30 pm to 1.30 am in which above said renowned Ragi Jathas wil rendered keertans and kathas followed by Guru ka Langar.

On the same morning (December 30), a ``Amrit Sanchaar'' (Holy Baptism) will be organised at the Gurdwara premises at 11 am. Interested persons can enroll their names with Gurdwara Head Granthi.

PRABhAT PHERIS : The Prabhat Pheris (Morning Rounds) will begin at 4 am daily from December 29 to 28.
